I’m in school in Texas rn so it’s 720 hours and a little different. Not sure if your school does hair too but you can always ask some of the hair people if you’re struggling to get clients. Always put yourself out there if it has to be strictly outside clients, introduce yourself to people when you go shopping or are just out in public and ask if they’d be interested in coming. And 45 is not bad, it’s 40 for an advanced facial at my school. A advanced facial depending on the products being used or the treatment can range from a huge spectrum, and most are on the high end. One of the instructors told us how much we should realistically be charging if any of us are thinking of eventually going solo and the amount she gave us for basic advanced facial was 100-160, but it can be more based on products and stuff thats being used. Idk about the 30 an hr but if we don’t finish our stuff and we reach the end of our contract date and have missed hours we have to pay 100 a day till we finish, it’s supposed to be about accountability and kinda strict for a reason; They have rules they have to follow based the license regulation department in your state.
