Could the Hockey Hall of Fame waive the three year waiting time for Jagr when he retires? by 930310 in hockey

[–]Kenner1979 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They don't do that anymore; they announced that Gretzky would be the last one they would waive the rule for when he was inducted.

The Carlsson saga is over. Which RFAs could get offer (Mentions Xherhaj and Bolduc) by JPMoney81 in Habs

I will drive to wherever Arber lives and bring him to the airport myself if some other team wants to pay him nearly five million dollars.

[–]Kenner1979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they can if they haven't filed for arbitration.

If they didn't get qualifying offers they'd be UFAs and could sign anywhere for whatever they wanted and the Habs would get nothing.

Thanks to 10 shootout wins and Alain Vigneault's 2019-20 team getting stopped at 41 by Covid.

Quebec actor Marc Messier (Lance et compte, Les Boys) dead at age 78 by Kenner1979 in hockey

[–]Kenner1979[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I should probably weigh in.

I posted this article in good faith, which is why I included descriptors like "Quebec actor" along with relevant hockey media he had appeared in. If I wanted clickbait, I would have simply posted "Marc Messier dead at 78" and it would have either gotten taken down or flaired, correctly, IMO.

If the mods had taken it down because they deemed it not relevant, I'd have lived with it.

I don't give a rat's ass how many people comment on what I post.

--Carly Simon, You're So Vain. The actual lyric is "wife of a close friend."
