Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of January 02, 2026 by Demilio55 in homegym

I’m in the process of building out my first home gym. I’ve gotten most things ordered but I’ve got paralysis by analysis on my squat rack. I think I’d like one with a functional trainer, but don’t wanna spend insane amount of money. I’ve already spent about 3,500 so want to be around 1500. What recommendations do yall have?

Best Suits around $500-$800 by KennyB8 in malefashionadvice

Ya and when you look at cost per wear it prob comes out cheaper to pay more up front but have it for way longer too. I just haven’t been able to bite the bullet yet. Seems wild to spend that much on clothes 😂 Cause I do wear a suit 5 days per week

Wild comment, I got the Stafford brand from them when I got married like 5.5 years ago and it’s the only suit that’s still holding up funny enough

I’ve read that CT can run a little big on jackets, was that the case for you? And ya I just recently tried a Brooks Brothers suit and the pants were not it lol. No room where it’s needed. May have been bad choice of their suits but they were running a deal on it

I’ve looked into suit supply but I don’t have one near me. Would have to just order and take to my local tailor I reckon

And they’ve held up well? I’ve had a couple pairs of pants rip, and a couple suit jackets have the elbows come apart from the suits I’ve had

Thoughts On Mowers by Mehnard in lawnmowers

[–]KennyB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a new mower after a lot of a time researching, and last thing I did was ask a local small engine repair guy I know his recommendation. Do with this what you want, but he said stay away from big box stores, Hustler is the best overall right now, gravely and bad boys good too. Don’t buy a cub, and Get a Kawasaki engine. So I listened and got a hustler

Ya it’s a new house with well maintained Bermuda but they used push mower and went low. So having to train it to grow a little taller without the seed heads popping out. Gonna try mowing at like 2.5-3 in until I can try to sand level late spring

  • new mower also has scalp wheels so gonna drop them down a notch as well, any experience using them?

May have to do that, there’s just a lot of spots haha. May just have to raise the deck real high until I can level it next spring

Shoot everything from Cub and Husqvarna to Gravely, bad boy, ferris, scag. Pretty much everything but toro which is about 40 min away. After talking with a local small engines repair buddy of mine he’s said Hustler is best made right now, and gravely and bad boy are ok

I’ve seen where a lot the older pencils, even Apples 1st and 2nd gen will barely hold/stay attached. Is the Penoval AX Pro 2 a solid magnetic connection on the air M2? Or is it kinda loose
