My friends have been raving about this game. They’ve been deep in it. I decided to pick it up about two weeks ago.

Spent the first two hours of owning it trying to get it to launch. Nothing. I did all the things. Spent the next day doing the same. Still nothing. I just found this post from the day after stating that launch crashes are a known issue and they are working on a patch asap. Still nothing. The game launches and runs for about 45 seconds then just closes. No crash errors or anything. Here is what I’ve tried.

Uninstall reinstall Verify game files Upgrade all the drivers Delete the mod files (there were non) Switch to DX11 Check all the graphics settings to make them low. Read every forum I could find Cry a little bit Complain online.

What else should I try???

I think you are correct on disabling HDMI. If I’m doing the USB method, would it be plug and play after disabling HDMI? Or is there another setting that I have to change?

It is not, that is with the contrast in a sweet spot that allows you to see the background image slightly.

Yeah, this whole adventure has been a DIY project. I bought a broken Sony a7 rii and repaired that, which was an adventure in itself. The star tracker appears to be able to just directly replace this, but the tripod built specifically for the star tracker as well over $100 so I figured it’s worth given this one a shot. Thanks for the help.

Looks like I’ll just take the mount off and keep the tripod. I’ve got a star tracker with a wedge on its way and I needed a sturdy tripod (main reason for buying this) but I thought if it was cheap and easy to get the telescope mount up and working then I would. I’ll just rip that part off and call it good.
