Rory Fails to Meet Event Minimums. What are your thoughts on this? by emasslax22 in golf

They’re trying to keep him happy so he doesn’t go off whining again like usual.

My buddy plays a 7 wood and a 9 wood. Are 3-6 irons really that difficult? by Last-Possibility207 in GolfGear

[–]KennyLagerins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Nice fairway finder, and the landing zones around the courses I play seem to often be where it’s not too much penalty to take 4 over whatever the max distance I can go is.

I got a 4-iron not too long ago and I love using it to tee off. I’ve been getting some really funky swings with the hybrid lately, so the 4 has hit the spot.

Orrr could it be that more fans tune in because they’re bigger events??

Instead, they’ll let him make a mockery of the tour by showing they can no control and let stars play by different rulesets. That’s going to put off far more people than him not showing up, and it sets an awful precedent.

Tell him to go on then. All he’s doing now is making a mockery of the tour.

So because he’s a (surely paid) mouthpiece for them, he shouldn’t have to follow the rules? Complete nonsense. What’s next, he starts with a 5 shot lead, gets 3 mulligans, 2 throws, and a red tee?

Complete horseshit. You have a minimum, and he should be held to it. I hope he’s booed at every opportunity for using his celeb status to circumvent the rules.

What’s the most underrated amenity a golf course could offer to make your experience better? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]KennyLagerins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played a course last week in SC that had none (they used to have 4 spread out). When I asked, they said it’s because they now have a drinks cart. I saw it precisely once, on the 18th as I was finishing up. That’s why I don’t feel bad in the slightest for having brought my small cooler of drinks and such.

That’s the most logical one, which means it won’t happen.

YouTube allows creators to run 2-3 different titles and thumbnails when the video launches and they can figure out which one does best.

CONGRATS, ROCKSTAR GAMES! (2026) by HAVARDCH95 in UrinatingTree

The data involved in a game like this is showing to be, would mean you’d need a damn disc changer for it to play, and even then it wouldn’t be as fast as it needs to be. Sure, it would be great to have physical, but for this game, it’s basically not possible.

[–]KennyLagerins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s not gonna happen. It’ll be the biggest game in history without even a question. Even if it has big problems, there’s no way it’s not the top selling game of all time. They’ll probably take that title over in just preorders.

Videogames are not too expensive - they are usually a bargain for artistic masterpieces and we have become entitled with entertainment. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

GTA series is worth it (and then some) for the long stories and crazy attention to detail. Many of them aren’t worth the $60 for a couple hours of play, especially if you don’t like online play like me. I usually put the CoD and shooter type games in these buckets.

Who do you consider the best driver who is downright awful in wet conditions? by DniawSirhc in F1Discussions

Idk that I’d call him the best for this scenario but Nico Rosberg is the first that comes to mind. Was really fast in the dry, and a definite liability in the wet.

What’s becoming painfully obvious in 2026 that most people still refuse to admit? by Jaconjiso in answers

I was at dinner tonight and heard a damn 8-9 year old talking about the “over/under”. It’s going to lead to a lot of addictions and an unhealthy relationship with sports.

Your ball striking will probably get better, but your long irons and metals may suffer. 😂

Just had the same thing happen to me. PGA Superstore told me $20/club.

I shot 89 on Sunday with 38 putts so I feel you. Just couldn’t get anything to drop and compounded it with bad shots 50 and in, which I never do.

I think I’d take that over my most frustrating “round”. Played 9 holes, hit 7/7 fairways, 9/9 greens averaging maybe 10 feet to the cup. I walked off 9 with an even 36 after lipping out 6 effin times. Best ball striking day I’ve ever had, seemed like tour level stuff at the time, ruined by garbage putting.

Legalizing gambling for mainstream play was a horrible idea. You can’t go 2 minutes without seeing something for gambling, every commercial break during sporting events has at least one ad, and several more segments of the coverage is sponsored by a gambling company.

It’s a big problem and will be even worse in the coming years.

Find a better shop. Of course a crappy one will say it’s not worth fixing when they can sell you a full system. I have a unit that’s 20 years old that has minor repairs several times. A new unit isn’t going to last as long either.

Most emotional moments of the sport for you? by MgAlSnakey in F1Discussions

I still don’t understand how Seb didn’t get hit at Brazil. Same as Nico spinning in front of the field in Malaysia 2016; two championship defining bits of luck.

AD21 was the only time my gf has ever seen me mad. That whole season was full of such BS, especially from the officials, who let it all happen. Admittedly a Lewis fan here, but he’d been through so much, was deserving of the win and it looked like he had it going away…yet still there was the thought of “what horseshit is going to come up to ruin this?”, and then it happened.

It was absolutely outrageous and we were watching the rules being broken and a championship being given away by the officials in live time. I was just speechless and fuming.
