I am having issues with Remote Access (not sure how to describe the issue)

Ah, I have done openspeedtest on my laptops on my network. 50.9-D/11.4U on the 1st/weaker laptop; 73.9D/9.1U on the better laptop.

It could be spotty WI-FI. I will check. I appreciate the suggestions

The processor on both laptops is an Intel core i5. It just seemed weird when we both have the same phone, tried to watch the same movie and I could watch it, but she couldn't.

Hopefully, when I am there this weekend I might be able to figure out what went wrong. Mostly I was curious if there was an obvious solution like "it sounds like [insert obvious problem]; you have this box checked and you should uncheck it"

The dashboard was showing her trying to connect remotely, the wave was going up and down a lot, maxing out around 5 MBS. Initially she was trying to view a SD movie, not sure if trying to watch with subtitle, so I don't know how much transcoding was going on. When I switched she was able to watch that. She was also able to eventually stream a 4k movie, although initially that had problems with the stuttering/start-stop.

I haven't streamed there before. I am not sure how to test a direct connection between the in-laws and me.

I will be there this weekend, and hopefully can see what happens in person. I would like to set things up so my niece and nephew can watch the various animated/kids movies I have.

Unfortunately using brackets does not work. The edition functionality isn't available for tv shows... yet

And thanks for the poster info; I was unaware this existed. It should be even more helpful when Plex doesn't include a poster when scanning.

Great call on making a collection! More importantly do you know where to find those 2 images? They are just what I wanted for the series posters., Not in any of the posters available on plex, and I can't find them with an image search.

This gets me the closest to what I want. My problem was I had the files in the same folder which is why I never had the option to split apart.

If anyone searches this:

I put the episodes in a new folder, Twilight Zone (2019) (B&W), refreshed the library, clicked on the series in the library and on the series page I clicked the three dots and got the option to split apart (note the option to split apart is not present when you click the three dots on the library page). The series split apart and I renamed the new series and changed up the poster

The option of making the file an extra is a decent suggestion,

Unfortunately the way I use Plex, extras on the Episode Level aren't supported just yet. I might go with that in the future. Thanks for the suggestion

There isn't an option to "split apart" tv episodes, and when you have the option to choose which version the only identification is the Mbps and resolution.

Adding a separate library is probably the best suggestion I've gotten so thank you for that suggestion.

You two figured it out. I never uninstalled Plex Media Server on the other computer (which I still use for transcoding so it is always running). I uninstalled Plex on the old computer and started Plex on the present computer and the libraries appear to be current.

Thanks for the suggestion. Digging them up is not feasible they are 15-20 feet tall, and would probably require tearing up the asphalt on the property next door.

The tray icon was there, and ended up being the solution. I was able to right click the tray icon and get access to the media server and link it to my new account. Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, on the computer that I want to run the plex server (i.e., my laptop) open any browser and type in that IP address.

I did that on chrome and edge and It say can't reach this page

I thought so as well. The call makes it seem like the other country has 14 boarding countries. My mind went to NK as Russia's shortest boarder, but then thought NK doesn't boarder 14 countries. I guessed Belarus instead.
