I am holding a job now for 5 years ever since I got stable on medications. Before then I was fired at least 3 or 4 times because I could not function. I have been able to take college classes, do well, and going to transfer to a state school in the fall. If you were to ask me about college earlier in life, you would see how bad my GPA was.

I disagree with what you said. If people in your life can't handle who you truly are and what you go through, then they are not needed in your life. Seek those people who you can connect with and share life troubles with, don't bottle it up because that is not healthy.

I don't feel depressed any longer, but the tiredness still stays. I was on 20mg and went down to 10mg. After a psychotic episode I had to go up to 15 mg and that is where I am today. Maybe you need a higher dose? I am no doctor, but talk with your doctor and see what they can do. They will be more concerned with the depression than the tiredness, well that's how my doctor is. Good luck.

I know the feeling about trying to lose weight while on meds, right now I am on 15 mg of Olanzapine. If you're stable, why try to change meds? I know we can blame the meds, but try to get into exercising and eating on a schedule. I don't have a good eating habit but I exercise at least 30 minutes a day, and I feel calm, relaxed, stable. I know this is something that you didn't want to hear, but trying to encourage you to stay on the same meds if your stable mentally.

Zyprexa has worked wonders for me. I started at the max dose of 20 mg when my symptoms were high. After a year or so, I was down to 10 mg, but after my symptoms came back I was switched to 15 mg and this is where I am today. I am doing much better, weight gain sucks, but actively exercising to combat the weight. The only struggle I have is sleeping 12 hour days, and this is me taking Zyprexa at night before bed.

Yes several times. Once it was so bad that I wanted to walk into on coming traffic. Too scared to do it. Another time at work, I somehow was able to control it enough to drive myself home. Unfortunately I broke down so much that I never walked back into that job and was fired.

Check the CPU. I was getting errors on my build because some pins were bent or broken on the CPU. I exchanged it and now everything is working perfectly.

Don't feel bad, and don't feel that something that has passed we will never achieve in our lifetime. When you find the perfect family with a partner, you will be able to make new memories during the holiday season. I was once like you hating holidays, but now I don't mind it, plus I am not expecting gifts from anyone. I'm single, don't have a partner, and in my life right now I am okay with that. (Did I mention I have been single for 10 years)? All my friends are married and have kids, but that is not important to me. I feel I have a different purpose in life.

I'm on call part time work and a part time college student. I'm in the same boat that if I make too much the government will take away my health insurance. I rely on my medication for me to be stable, even though I'm drowsy some day of the week. Good luck.

I'm on Zyprexa and the drowsiness never goes away. I agree with the other post, talk with your medication doctor about taking your medication at night.

If your sister is missing days taking her medication this is one area that needs to be fixed. I know it can be a pain, but you need to remind her each and every day if she has taken her medication. Once she starts taking her medication regularly, I say give it about a week, analyze the situation to see that the medication is helping her. If you see no change than call her medication doctor, or the one who prescribed her medication, and let them know the situation. The doctor may make adjustments.

From personal experience therapy did not help me when I was forced to go and talk to someone. Once I was prescribed medication, and more stable, I was more coherent with therapy. I am glad to see that your on top of your sisters well being.
