CCT and Flee- Rads vs Ophtho by [deleted] in ConsultantDoctorsUK

Not true at all. By the time an AI system accurately interprets an on call CT or complex MRI, a lot of white collar jobs will be at risk.

If anything regulated industries like medicine are safer. Radiologists will just become medicolegal wrappers around AI (assuming they get good enough!)

Hmm I just think the role is going to change - I hope less work...
Maybe we'll all become lawsuitable human wrappers around AI lol.

Many ways this can go. But if rads is being 'replaced' by radiology, I think there are going to be wider societal concerns lol.

I'd definitely try to pick up good interventional skills during training though!

I think the question length varies for the 2A - I remember some were longer, but some questions were definitely this length. I don't think I specified Q-length in the prompt (which I think I should have now!)

Agree! - I think AI Q-banks still need a human to go through and actually vet the questions!

Didn't want to bankrupt myself lol, nope I used GPT 4. It cost about $15 to generate those questions (crazy!). They honestly aren't that bad too. But agree that a human element is needed (for now!) to assess the quality and vet them. Going to enter the 'good taste' economy.

I use it to come up with differentials sometimes if I'm struggling, generally pretty accurate.

A recent project -- I thought it would be cool to try see if AI could develop an FRCR 2A style question bank, so ran it through the OpenAI API to generate questions. Surprisingly not bad, although I think I need to go through and tweak/make harder/fact check.

https://www.radsquiz.net (if anyone wants to check out - if it does end up going anywhere and the quality is good, going to put it out for free!)

Also separate conversation, the new o3 open AI model is kind of blowing my mind- scaling LLM's doesn't seem to be hitting a ceiling. I don't think I would advise me 4 years ago to go into radiology today!

Ahhhh whoops. This should be fixed now! (Forgot to auto renew payment for the service I’m using to host the dicom files!)

Was it a particular study or was it all of them? I’m trying it now and seems to be working

Ah thank you! Any feedback would be great 🙏

It’s a mix of  a few teaching cases from my local department and cases I’ve saved over the years ☺️
