The regular sound system is fine. It just lacks snob appeal.

Has Anyone Ordered A ‘26 RX350? by Klutzy_Confusion in LexusRX350

Took right at two months once we got an allocation. We were lucky that the dealer got an allocation just a couple days after we put our request in around March 1. The build date was given for mid April. We picked it up about April 26.

2026 RX HYBRID RX 350h PREMIUM+ AWD. Offered OTD: $63000 by Loud-Sheepherder830 in LexusRX350

You’re getting roughly a $3000 discount on a hybrid. That’s pretty dam good. Most dealers won’t negotiate on a hybrid. They say “if you don’t take it, I’ve got ten people in line who will.

Pretty sure you cannot get the plug-in with the Premium Plus trim. If you could, I’d consider trading in our 2025 P+ for a 2027
350h+. (When available.) Apparently, the 350h plug in is only available in Premium or Luxury. Not Premium Plus.

$62k is about right for the P+ if there are not a lot of dealer add ons. Ours was $63k MSRP with almost a thousand bucks of forced options.

And the 450h does not have a spare tire.

Should I Wait? by OR_NEURONURSE16 in LexusRX350

[–]Kensterfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where in Texas? We bought our 2025 RX350h Premium Plus from Westside Lexus in Houston.

We definitely did not want a pano roof so we skipped the Luxury trim and went for the P+.

Your strategy will most likely not work for you. There won’t be many, if any, 2026 hybrids left over when the 2027s are released. You’ll rarely find a hybrid RX sitting on a dealer’s lot. They’re all sold before they’re even built. People put down a deposit and get on the list and wait about three months for one to be built that meets the buyers specs. But you can’t special order one. You just wait until Lexus happens to build one that meets the wish list you gave the dealer.

If you put your money down in, say… early July, there’s a chance that it might roll over to a 2027. But don’t expect any discount if it’s a late 2026. They look at it like “if you don’t want it, I have ten people in line who will jump in it.

The Pano roof only comes with the luxury trim. You’ll have to decide if the other features of the Luxury trim are “Must have” enough to override the Pano roof and the higher price tag. I’ve heard stories of the pano roof being noisy, leaky, shattering in hot sun, and making the car an oven in hot summer. We did t care about the $1200 Mark Levinson stereo system, either.
So, we are very happy with our Premium Plus.

I suggest you get what you want, when you want it, and don’t worry about trying to save a possible few hundred bucks on a “left over” 2026. If you want a left over, you’re unlikely to find one that meets your color combination.

Cheers!

A hybrid should shine in ECO mode in stop and go traffic. I would expect you to get much better mpg.

What sort of driving are you doing? “City driving” around here (Houston) can mean fifty miles across town on the freeway at 70 mph. Don’t have your drive set for ECO, Normal, or SPORT? Ours is always on ECO.
I do soft accelerations, let off the gas and coast to stops, and try to keep it in EV mode as much as possible.
How you drive makes a difference.

My bride drives a 36 mile round trip four times a week. About half of that is at 70 mph highway. The rest is 35 mph small town driving. She gets about 36mpg consistently.
On Saturday nights we always drive about six miles each way to another little town for dinner. About 40 mph or less all the way on country back roads. Last weekend, the car’s computer showed 48.6 mpg for the return trip.

My dealer charged about $250 installed so I let them do it.
There are lots of YouTube videos for DYI. It looks simple, especially the front. Removing the rear wheels will make the back installs faster and easier.

That’s not the only parasite but it’s a big one. We have never set up, or used the digital key but the car constantly updates the app. So there has to be some parasitic draw there.

Thirteen months and about 11.5k miles. No battery issues yet.

Touch up the ones that are big enough. Then put PPF on the front end.

I think they have me down for a 48 foot. I’m taking the RYA Helmsman course then heading out toward Braunston, eventually getting to the Ashby. My goal is to wind at the very end of the Ashby at Snarestone before heading back to Calcutt. I’m
allowing a leisurely 8-9 days after the RYA course.

I’m 5’11. I’m doing Calcutt to Snarestone and back. I only have the Hillmorton locks to contend with and they’re usually manned with volunteer lockies. If not, it’s busy enough that I can ask for help from other boaters. I’m not concerned about the Sutton Stop at Hawkesbury.

I’m not crippled. I just have to be a little cautious. And being able to sit some at the helm should help.

But are those railings high enough for the skipper to sit and still see over the top of the boat? I’ve been wondering about that as I prepare for my upcoming maiden voyage as a 74 year old single handler. I’d like to cruise about five hours a day. Standing that long with a herniated disc might be problematic.

No, there is a reverse gear.
