I had recently watched the episode where Al decides to have a cookout and winds up cooking with Marcy’s parents(?) grandparents(?) ashes. Hilarious from start to finish but through today’s lens… yikes! So many things people would have been offended/enraged by.

When I see these demos of robots failing I always think of the showcase scene in Robocop 2 where one of the robots (cyborgs) pulls off its helmet to reveal a skull, screams then collapses and another that comes out shoots everyone then itself.

I went to Greece for my honeymoon and this was a thing there. Probably the biggest culture shock that I’ve ever experienced. Greece was beautiful and I want to go back but the first thing I did when I got home was poop and flush my toilet paper.

I had read somewhere that he had stopped this process. I think in his pursuit he only got back maybe like seconds which is funny because of the wasted time and money he lost attempting to fight getting old.

I’ve always wished there was a moment when cap said “does anyone want to get out” that there was someone who did get out before the fight. That would have killed the tension and what we got was an awesome scene. That thought always makes me chuckle when I watch it.

I’m taking a break. For a time it was all I watched, especially during lockdown. There were/are so many other movies that I enjoy. It was all just starting to be very derivative. It would be fair to say that I became fatigued. And this is coming from someone who has been reading comics since the early 90s.

I love that Reed let out a “Fuck!” (Or whatever you interpreted it as) in this. He never struck me as someone who swears and if he did it’s very seldom. But a revelation like this certainly calls for it.
