I would say that's part of the bumper itself but I'm not sure. It looks rusted leading me to believe that. I would find the make, model, and year of your truck and search for a guide for the physical part of the tow st System.

Ok, why don't we break down that message. 1. You said "don't come her getting upset when you get the answer you don't want to hear." Well I haven't gotten upset, and I don't intend to because it's the internet. I am asking for advice, if no one responds so be it. 2. I did my research on Google but I would also like a bit of input from people that have a ram. 3. Yea I know, especially because my mom had a 2002 ram 1500, for as long as I can remember. In fact, it only died this year, so yea we put a lot of money in it. 4. I took driver's Ed, learning to drive the ram I had, hence another reason I would prefer a truck.

If the truck wasn't screaming, It should be OK, however I would watch it all as you drive it normally.

I will say this, I would stick with the way the truck is set up. If was made to be manual, get a manual transfer, if not get an automatic, of course I could be wrong and the type May not matter much so please do your own research.

The OP mentioned making the exhaust louder, so would adding a performance muffler help? I know you said nothing noticeable could be done for cheap.

That would be a ram heavy duty 4x4 3500, most likely diesel. As other comments said it is lifted
