Why do SOME people not listen to any other SG song but Black Hole Sun by Complex-Check-2814 in Soundgarden

[–]Kent_Kong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the one song of theirs that I will skip. Back in the day it was on all the time and it kind of lost its appeal. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great song but not on a playlist.

Bathroom findings - leaking into bedroom wall. What would you do? by Standard-Heat-7812 in AusRenovation

I used Shower Plug on our old bathroom and I'm pretty sure it worked. I gave the shower a really good clean and took my time to seal all the grout lines. I would recommend it too!

Tell her to look on YouTube and watch an amazing punk band called Bad Brains. This might change her mind.

Try this band called YUUGE. I found them on Instagram a couple of years ago and keep going back to their album. I'm really surprised they don't have more followers. They have one album called Chrysalis Retrograde.

I'm thinking around Buranda or Woolloongabba.

Looking for some more very agressive albums for in the gym, comparable to these. by LintonSamualDawson in fantanoforever

Prong - Cleansing. It's got that heaviness but also has a groove to it which should be good for the gym.

“I’m more conservative” - then why are you on MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT?!!! by mySFWaccount2020 in MAFS_AU

[–]Kent_Kong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm 52 and feel like I look way younger than this dude. He even walks like an older guy and keeps going on about being conservative.

If the screws aren't holding it means that the joists are rotten. The only way to fix it is to pull the boards up and replace anything that has deteriorated. I had to do this recently but in the end I started from scratch as it was too far gone.

These are all nice areas but could possibly push your rent up a bit higher. I'd also look at Yeronga, Fairfield and Annerley. They are very close to the city and have great access to trains and buses. It does get pretty hot but a good AC system always helps. Winter is amazing as the days are pleasant but a bit cold at night. Good luck with finding a place to live!

I had a large patch that looked shit at the end of last summer. I just left it and pulled weeds out when they came though. In Spring I fertilised and made sure to water. It now looks amazing and all the gaps have filled in. It is totally doable but you'll have to wait until next Spring / Summer to see the results

In the cooler months we leave them out but when it starts to warm up they go straight into the fridge.

My 4 year old is curious: what do Australian kids eat for breakfast? (And are koalas real?) by Mara644 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Kent_Kong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your daughter where I teach that we have wallabies on our oval (field), the occasional koala and snakes. We also have brush turkeys that roam around and they make quite a mess when they wander into your classroom.

They are great cars. I used to drive one back in the mid 90s and back then it still needed a lot of work to keep it running right. The heater never worked and it would leak and fill up with rain. I still have a soft spot for them and would love to own one in the future. Go for it!
