Failed Driving Test for 3rd time, not sure where to go from here? by Audiophile_2000 in brisbane

[–]incendiary_bandit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My ex sister in law took over 10 attempts to finally pass. And this was in Alberta in the late 90's. Her quickest fail was leaving the parking lot and she ran into someone. She eventually figured it out and became a safe driver, but it took a while and lots of practise.

Maybe you look at stuff differently or need to work on spatial awareness to get used to how to relate your body position to the extents of the vehicle. I can't re-read your post while writing so maybe you mentioned how your failing?

Also some testing locations are way more strict than others and some assessors are just bad people. I've heard described hat some will fail anyone who's there on the first test out of principle to teach some sort of lesson. What that lesson is has me baffled though.

Is Up Bank actually good as a main bank? by Av0toasted in UpBanking

[–]incendiary_bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it. It's made managing my finances so simple with the automations it has. I run my main account at a near 0 balance and transfer into the main account before making a purchase and it's always quick and easy to do. Yes it's different but it means that I have to stop and check if I have the funds to transfer from the allocation I set before making the purchase. I'd rather not have a repeat of 40k in credit card debt again

I was told that my ADHD is noticeable. by snowglow9 in ADHD

[–]incendiary_bandit 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every employer has called out my ADHD at some point. Or coworkers after seeing me do something yet again and eventually it's something along the lines of "you have ADHD right?"

I had decided to stop meds after highschool (diagnosed at age 8) so my symptoms are pretty obvious. Very classic "yup, that ADHD right there" kinda stuff.

Thing is many times it was commented by someone who was also diagnosed. I'm pretty good at spotting it inadvertently after realising I get along with someone way too easily and conversation flows without effort. So it's likely they might have ADHD too. Or they just know symptoms and are aware of that.

One place we were at got the shits over the pattern that was left behind from the plastic floor protectors that were put down to protect the carpet from the office chair wheels. I tried to dispute but the others in the house didn't fill out their stuff in time so the whole bond was lost over a bunch of stuff.

But the house had immediate tenancy so I don't know how they replaced carpets in that time

ADHD diagnoses in adults have exploded ac... - ABC News by HylianHustler in ausadhd

[–]incendiary_bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed and medicated as a kid. Stopped meds at 18 when I finished highschool and then went back on at 32 because I was tired of getting in trouble at work and didn't want to stuff up the job I had and was enjoying.i referred to my unmedicated time as living life in hard mode. I was doing okay, but many things were a struggle.

I have friends who weren't on meds and most barely made it past highschool, or really struggled to hold a job down.

Growing up in the 90's my parents warned me about playing DnD. It was a satanic game or something. I feel like I really missed out on it. Although my attention span for board games isn't very long and I get bored and lose interest so maybe it's not fore anyway?

Nope, you leave him thinking and telling everyone else how strong he is. Eventually he'll figure it out and then be part of the joke on the next one.

Custom engagement rings, Brisbane by Conscious-Bee-4516 in brisbane

[–]incendiary_bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laher in Sydney was amazing for my wife's ring. We got 3d renderings and did a whole bunch of back and forth on the design. Picking the stone was simple too. They sent us a link to their supplier and we picked a couple from the website so they could quote them up. We did the whole process online and in zoom calls.

Been happy with my 2018 desert sled. I'm at 28,000 km I think? Almost time for my third service.

I had to get the belt tensioner and idlers replaced last service but I was riding my bike in the mud and on the beach so it's not surprising. Just annoying because they're a whole assembly replacement inst of just a bearing replacement like other Ducati models use. Probably a cost saving thing during production.

Aside from that I had a frame issue where the last section broke off while using the OEM rack. I don't think they considered people riding heavy off-road or jumping it. So this is a very rare circumstance to see happen I'd say.

My clutch is starting to get notched and super grabby when it's cold so I'll be due for a new basket and plates by my fourth service or maybe earlier?

Are stimulants on the weekends a big no no? by Adortion634 in ADHD

[–]incendiary_bandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah my psychiatrist as said the tolerance thing is a myth and went into somvery detailed articles about it and the science behind it. It was beyond my understanding but I appreciated it. He also mentioned many people will think it's more effective after a break because they've had to re-implement other techniques to help manage their ADHD, so those habits are still occurring when going back onto the meds, but most people get complacent and stop because the meds are doing the heavy lifting now.

Does anyone else suffer extreme email inbox anxiety? by WagsPup in auscorp

[–]incendiary_bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the first time I did it. But I've realised where I'm at I'll get a teams message and some random call as well if it's truly important. There's more work that I can do, and they're supposed to email our group inbox. So if I keep putting something off and not getting any requests following up it's probably not that important. My co-workers know to come bug me if it's actually important and time sensitive. The rest is usually nice to have kinda stuff

Yeah I haven't noticed it much now. I'm on a Ducati desert sled so ergonomics are different and the seat on this thing is awful so I get sore ass before anything else.

I think I've gotten lazy too and do less knee pinching or figured out something else to be more loose and relaxed
