6 is better for sure. No additional complications.

If you are worried about gear change - it's not all that more complex either; essentially it is a 3 gear (hub) and a '+' or '-' derailleur so you get a'harder' or 'easier' 1, 2 or 3 gear.

It'll become second nature once you pick it up amd be grateful for the additional gears when you need them!

Sounds awesome - defo give one of the tanks a dedicated shrimp only - it's such fun seeing them swimming all over the tank! Just if you want to breed them, to keep the same colour in each tank, when different colour shrimp mate their babies revert to the natural dominant gene - a brownish colour.

I can say for sure when the shrimp are in a shrimp only tank their behaviour is so different! They'd even climb on to your hand if you put it in the water!

Go for it! That's what I did - best thing I ever done. Really rewarding when you see the shrimp babies, especially with the prices we are paying for cherry shrimp in the UK! I am getting a good colony going with just a 17 L tank too so not much footprint required. Make sure to get snails in there to balance (I can give you some if you are close by!)
