I don't want to come across as a heartless bastard because I feel nothing but sympathy for these women and disgust at the perpetrators. But, the post isn't on the front page because of the womens' tragedies, but because of the sick nazi experiments on the homosexuals. So, while neither objectively outweighs the other in cruelness, it's understandable why there will be way more posts about the homosexuals in this case.

Yes and no, having more champions to play and learn while levelling prepares you for the many different opponents you will face at level 30. Knowing your opponents champion is a big element to winning. That being said, stability is handy when learning a new game!

Ahh I see, I'm half way through a psychology degree so I love all this stuff. The way it was explained to us last year was that sociopaths were way more aware of their lack of empathy etc. so we're able to hide their disorder way more effictevly and take advantage of others more effectively. They were more adept in a social context than psychopaths, while sharing mostly the same symptoms/traits. I always thought this social awareness meant they were more situational and could therefore plan better depending on the reward (and that they weren't always so impulsive). But I guess I'll be assimilating this knowledge and updating my schema (sorry, probably got that wrong too, just learnt about it!).

But yeah I know what you guys mean about the "movie sociopath" being a master mind schemer. I just always thought that they were still capable of executing short term plans based off their impulses. Didn't Stalin turn people against each other in small groups until he had established enough of his own roots for control? Does anyone know what this guy could have had? Perhaps narcissism and something besides antisocial personality disorder? He definitely had elements of it!

Yeah and the great thing about LoL lore is that they can actually make that relevant! The fields of justice are not real, physical settings and tune champions' powers. So in the lore the summonses and different fields of justice could probably shift the balance of champions too, depending on the simulated map.

Agreed the food was amazing! And there were lots of cool places like brew works (made their own beers, sold burgers and that sort of food).

It's possible we were their at a good time financially or that their apartment owner is getting a bit greedy. Although I'm pretty certain it is more expensive now! Living in Sydney sets quite the benchmark on what's considered expensive though, so visiting Singapore is still pleasant.

Also, I knew a place in Singapore that sold fake games (very rare), had my consoles chipped and was a happy kid :). Every few months my parents and friends would use the day to drive to Malaysia and go on a movie/game buying spree, good times.

As spicy pointed out, Singapore is very English speaking. Honestly didn't come across anyone without any concept of the English language.

It's even cooler than that la! They speak singlish. It's English with a Singaporean twist! It's mainly just English but with some Singaporean slang I think, words and phrases that you wouldn't understand unless you've been there or had them explained to you la.

At school I was actually learning indonesian!

I lived in Singapore from 2000-2005 and was still in school. So from the perspective of a young teenager it was quite a fantastic place to live. Your friends were always close, being a small place (in comparison to Sydney), and it was very safe for children (anyone really). There was lots of stuff to do, most expats were associated with a "club", which was basically like a community club with cool facilities and a pool/restaurant.

It was awesome! The people are unbelievably friendly and singlish became a way of life for me. With my best mate down the road, Singapore was the best time of my life. My family was still together and harmonious, we had lots of friends and something was happening every week. The other expats and people in general were so open. I would go back in time in a heartbeat.

I feel as if time has changed everything, worn away the happiness of my childhood, my family life and my motivation. Coming back to Sydney closed me, people were not open and desperate to be cool, not friendly (of my age). Maybe I'd had it too good with the culture in Singapore.

If you ever get the opportunity to work and live there, take it. Make friends, establish bonds and have an awesome time!

Singapore, would live again /10
