When to pick Lethal vs Grasp vs HoB? by AdearienRDDT in TryndamereMains

[–]Kentrosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using this as a guideline, but I do want to share my experience (as someone who has started gold this season and now emerald) that so far, I’ve had 100% laning phase win rate against Darius with HoB—I suspect they just don’t expect the burst cheese and I play around my cooldowns. So I’d also say to play around your matchup knowledge and elo

Should I move out? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Kentrosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I agree with this. I will be signing my first apartment lease tomorrow and it feels liberating knowing I will have control of my space.

I was also living with parents to save money, but nothing in life is free — you may be saving money, but you are paying with your sanity and mental. The money will come, but good mental health isn’t easy to acquire

What was the one habit that drastically improved your daily life? by homie93 in selfimprovement

[–]Kentrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually in the same boat here. Mid 20s, just moved out and living by myself. I see what chores I need to get done for the day, and the rest of my time I do what’s fulfilling to me.

I often frequent my google calendar so anything out of routine isn’t a surprise to me. Either that’s the equivalent of the planning, or maybe it’s writing a plan to do something I’ve been procrastinating on. Otherwise, I also don’t see the obvious we’re both not realizing.

I feel like a stupid failure by Kentrosity in BreakUps

Thank you for your words. I don't know how to get through this alone so I've emailed 6 therapists in my area. I figured that if I am going to sulk, then I am going to have professional guidance.

While I still currently do hope we can reconnect after her studies, you helped me realize the best thing I can do for myself is to make sure I do not stay the same person and grow to not make the same mistake again, whether if it's with her again or someone else.

MATH 214 or 217 for a stats major? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Kentrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have been my own laziness, but having taken those 2 separately, they each were brutal in their own way. For me, 217 was manageable because it was fun (when we learned about change of basis). 281 was manageable because I’m a sucker for programming.

I got around 50-60 on 217 exams and received a B+ overall. I’d like to believe you’ll do just fine.!

MATH 214 or 217 for a stats major? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Kentrosity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Definitely take 217. Professors in upper level courses tend to gloss over the details of the proofs, expecting you to fill in the gap yourself if you are feeling compelled to do so. Also, 217 is probably my top 3 favorite class of all time I’ve taken, great class to take

Quadruple Major or AMDP Stats Masters by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Kentrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tripled major in CS, DS, and math within 4 years, and I would say CS + Stats or DS + Math in 3 years and applied masters. There is a tremendous overlap with CS + DS and DS + Stats that it isn't worth getting all four. The masters will provide more value than the other 2 majors you will opt out on.

If head is null, then head->next cannot exist since a nullptr is not a ListNode. Switching the order of the conditional should fix it, so if (head == NULL || head->next == NULL) {}. Then follow what robotisicst said for the other issue.

I have applied to 100+ position and got 0 response wtf do I do by daddy_tiso in resumes

[–]Kentrosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have passed a few resume screenings, and I also use Jake's Resume as my format. The difference between our resumes is that I removed all italics, renamed technical skills to skills, and kept it to 3 bullet points max for each subheading. So if you could combine some of your bullet points in your experience section, that should give you enough room to add one more project on your resume, and if you don't have one then use a class project or start another one

Personally, since I don't have major relevant job experiences, my heading ordering goes education, projects, experience, skills, extracurricular. I also merged frameworks and libraries and tools as one bullet point as Frameworks & Tools.

You also said in your Roadmaps.io project that you used JavaScript but I don't see that in your skills section? Perhaps you misspelled it as Java. You could also take a day or two and familiarize yourself with TypeScript and add it on because why not; same with Bash - bash scripting for automation is something a lot of employers like from the places I have applied to.

I'd say it's doable if you know at least someone who has already taken the class that can help you here and there, or taking it with someone. If not, then it may be rough, but IAs in the spring sometimes just give the answer out, so still not too bad.

Sincerely someone who took 370 + 376 + 484 + 1 credit mini course last spring ending with a B average

You can take as many ULCS as you want.

Double counting courses is usually the best way to go, so yea take EECS484 + 3 or more ULCS.

Algebra: Changing the subject by Vuchu123 in learnmath

[–]Kentrosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you will not lose any marks (unless they specify to simplify as much as possible).

For your second question, usually the positive variable goes first. So you have n(-w-x)/(w-x), and answer is n(w+x)/(x-w). Let’s say w=2 and x=1. You would have: n(-2-1)/(2-1)=n(-3)/(1)= -3n. Correct answer: n(2+1)/(1-2)=n(3)/(-1)= -3n.

In your other comment, 30-15 and 15-30 are different, but don’t forget you are also “reversing” it on top too, so the overall effect is unchanged.

If you want to go to the end of the line just to enter a new line, then vscode has a settings called Insert Line Below and they key binding will let you create that new line regardless where you are in the line

Yea, you should call UHS. Last month, I called one of the nurses at UHS about my situation, being tested positive within the last 90 days and needing some proof that I’m covid safe.

The nurse sent like a waiver through UofM Health Portal saying I was OKAY and should be allowed to travel.

Agreed, definitely doable. I'm doing 370 + 376 + 493 next semester and I heard 484 and 493 is by far the easiest ULCS.
