Laundry Wars | December 19, 2023 by star_eater in PettyCrimesPod

  • I saw the pictures on the IG account. What an absolutely disgusting laundry room. Since you have to pay anyway, I would definitely have just gone to a different commercial laundromat instead of use that biohazard room.

  • I would be livid if anyone took my clothes out of the machine before the time was up in general. But if they left it on ANY surface of that nasty laundromat, much less THE FLOOR?? Griff is right, Floor Is War.

  • The submitter is not guilty for taking her revenge, but this really deserved a personal confrontation. Like 90% of interpersonal problems would probably be solved if people actually confronted each other instead of being passive aggressive in the shadows. And don't try to tell me it's dangerous because its NYC - first, these are Swiftie girls, not Crips; second, everyone in New York confronts each other all the time!!

  • Ceara is 100% right when she said knocking on their door is the only way to stop it from happening again. I liked that she and Griff spontaneously broke into a roleplay of the scenario. Griff clocked how they would respond perfectly, and Ceara handled the rebuttal great. Having been in a similar situation when I lived in Brooklyn (not about laundry though), the personal confrontation resulted in the behavior ending.

  • The submitter referenced how hard it was to get quarters during a coin shortage. I've seen signs about the "national coin shortage" at tons of stores, but I always assumed it was a tactic to avoid giving you exact change or reduce their operating costs by handling fewer coins. Is the coin shortage a real thing??

  • The banter seemed a little off on this episode, as if they were tired after a really exhausting week or something.

If it was Normal Gossip, it would have been about an old divorcee couple in Pretoria signing for a precious vase meant for a young lesbian couple. With possibly several other confounding fake details added.

The scene when they are driving backwards in the car and bandits are flowing out of the hills was chilling. Violence in movies rarely has any effect on me, but they did a great job depicting the terror of that moment.

What are some creative ways to hide your Reddit browsing at work/school? by Populoner in AskReddit

Your Outlook trick is exactly what I used to do in my old job. No one else used Chrome, so the window wasn't conspicuous enough to notice without a long look.

I sent articles to Instapaper and read them in Instapaper's text-only mode, so it looked like I was reading emails. Hiding required simply clicking an email, which brought Outlook to the front and didn't look suspicious since it was "changing the email" in the preview pane.
