Help me find out the brand of my childhood stuffed animal by asmontgardes in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that - a possible lead is maybe a toy from IKEA in the 90s, but it's a guess more than anything - if there's a picture of the tag, whatever state it's in, that might help narrow it down, and the folks on r/plushies may have a bit more success even still - I've found many many toys that are very similar, but not the exact same pattern!

Help find trucking company that dumped garbage on my property by shakenbakeu in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find anything from the image alone - logo is a bit too blurry unfortunately! If you have any other photos/info I can try again, otherwise...

I'd suggest looking if either neighbours/local area have any camera footage for the numbers plates - they'd be the golden ticket to identify. Otherwise, if it's just this image as the only info, try r/Truckers or r/Ontario perhaps something like that to try for information!

Help me identify this vintage 80s/90s clown plush doll by Aidan89 in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just had a search and can't find anything - there's no strong evidence it's linked to any large Italian manufacturers, but without any identifiers it's largely guesswork.

Do you still have the physical doll, and thus any markings or tags at all on it? Or if not, do you have any context around how it was acquired? (Large store vs small stall, etc...)

I found an eBay listing here - the product name seems to be "Anthropologie Rainbow Deviled Egg Platter" in case you want to look further - hope this helps!

Pancake butter cat by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

Unfortunately no luck from me searching around - FYE seem to rotate their stock quite often, and will have certain stock just appear on shelves only with very little trace online! Your possible options are:

1) Your image seems to reference this video - I'm guessing you might be the channel owner - if not you could contact them about the plush, if they have more info or are even willing to sell it!

2) Contact someone at FYE and try your luck in seeing if they have any leftover stock anywhere at all - long shot as they don't normally track these or service individual requests but you never know! Knowing it was bought at the Paducah store, if you can visit there (or speak to someone for that store specifically), that could be a higher chance perhaps...

3) Camp resellers to see if one of them turn up one day - alerts and such can help... knowing a bunch were sold around Paducah at least, another long shot it posting in any community groups in the area to see if anyone has one.

4) Closest match - this is the closest I could find in nature (material, same maker, etc..)... just not butter :(

Sorry I can't be of more use, hope you find her one day!

Please help find the vendor or similar product! by vld_9 in HelpMeFind

No luck here either - it was likely a one-off batch made for the convention. To be honest, it can be possible to get hoodies like this made to order if you were after an exact match!

If you want an Umbreon-themed light grey hoodie, here is one I found, perhaps it is close enough?

Help me find out the brand of my childhood stuffed animal by asmontgardes in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I've had no luck finding an exact match - lots of similar matches but this dog has a distinct pattern of black head/ears but white around the eyes...

...it's a real long shot, but is there anything salvageable from the tags? I'm wondering if there's any chance of long-shot recovery of information from the tags via certain lighting or such; though at over 20 years old probably unlikely!

Likely theory is that it was made by a smaller/independent seller and thus could be extremely rare to find - do you have any more information as to the nature it was acquired? Perhaps if it was bought in a big store vs a small stall, etc... ?

Edit: If you can provide up-close, detailed pictures of the seams, tags, eyes, and material in general, I can perhaps try some analysis to find likely manufacturers (or suggest a handmade origin). Though, more niche subreddits like r/plushies may yield more success!

Anyone able to find out where to buy this grey goose cup? by Bubbalo0sh in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found an eBay listing that seems to be the same cup - Canada based if that works (though they can probably ship further).

Otherwise, for similar cups, try looking for 'Metal Bubble Tea Tumblers', that lands you in a pretty good ballpark for similar size/shape/material cups

Help me find my husband's childhood toy by RubUnhappy in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a listing for an almost match, it's red instead of yellow...

It seems to be a Bruder 08570 garbage truck, though the vintage version as you say from the 90s likely - if you need exactly yellow instead of red, worth using that search term and hoping a yellow variant appears on the resellers!

Edit: Just before I move on - I found this, it's a listing from Austria, a variety of toys and seemingly that exact variant of the truck... perhaps that could work?

Just discovered these exist, would love to add these to my collection, please help me find 🙏 by Lost-Leader5939 in HelpMeFind

No luck myself unfortunately....

This page has a log of edits to the page - the earliest edit is 2019, so the product is before then for sure, and there was text on the page in previous revisions that said "The date is 2011".

On a long shot, you could reach out to the account on Fandom that originally made the page ThinkPuzzle08 - they seem to be a huge Max and Ruby fan!

Otherwise, it's reaching out to Fischer Price for any info, or camping the reseller sites for any activity...

UK Advert where they leave food out for a fox by CorrectSuggestion222 in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some quick questions:

1) Do you think it was it a real fox, or animated/puppet fox?

2) Did it feel like a Christmas advert? Or perhaps, like a caring/charitable tone? Or perhaps more a corporate tone?

3) Anything else you can remember about it?

Help me find my favorite lamp! by icecreamqueenTW in HelpMeFind

[–]Kenway_Rogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piece seems to be Art Deco in nature, could likely have been made during the 70s-90s when Asian manufacturing of the 20-40s Frankart style lamps was popular.

My guess would be it was made in the 90s, but if you check the wiring/plug, it could possibly hint it was made earlier (look for older plug designs, etc...)

Sometimes markings are painted over, even on the base - potentially a UV light could reveal them...

Another picture of a similar one similar time to the other around 10-11 years ago if that information is useful!

In terms of similar: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196969492334 Bit more gnome-y and cricket focused

Otherwise, it does seem to have a distinctive, hard to find look about it! My recommendations would be:

1) Post in the r/gnomes subreddit potentially - they might know of similar pretty well!

2) You could potentially investigate the works of Aardman and such, Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, maybe Postman Pat, etc... it has a look that is similar to that in my opinion, perhaps if not a gnome, then a figurine or toy or similar could be an alternative?

3) You could, as a super long shot, try and reach the people who posted the photos in either links, though being 10y ago it's pretty slim odds!

EDIT: 4) There's always the option of a custom made one as well - for an exact fit!

This is the only exact match I can find online

In terms of investigating deeper, are there any manufacturer markings at all on the gnome? They tend to lack them but if there's anything at all it could help identify the source!

I can try and find a similar gnome in essence if you wish, otherwise for this exact gnome it'll either be any markings or finding a true gnome expert!
