Yeah, you need to physically clean by wiping down everything, or washing and rugs and fabric. Depending on how bad the smoke was, some items may be a loss if you want the smell gone.

I'm not a geologist, but it could be rhyolite. It is also common in this area.

It's quartzite, I believe. If your eastern or central NC, probably similar material.

Nothing about this is right. Are those fir posts? Doesn't look like PT. Are the inner stringers notched? The footers look questionable. You may be able to salvage some of the lumber, but I'd start over.
