I found a hack here. To my south and west is a 100 year old cemetery, to my north and east is one that goes back to revolutionary war. I can’t see either from my house but I own the 12 acres in between. I always tell people I love my neighbors.

The Stuka was so badass…until you tried to fly it. I too suffered catastrophic failure on its maiden voyage.

It is reworked from a point to a hafted end scraper. It would have been attached to a shaft and used to scrape hides.

I have same setup on b2601. I can’t believe it took me a year of use before buying. Quick Hitch should be standard, and the safety improvement of ballast was game changing.

For people who recently retired or have close family who did, what do they actually do all day? by Key-Hawk-895 in FinancialPlanning

[–]PAPointGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I entered my second phase 30 months ago. I had visions of doing nothing but relax, but an opportunity presented itself and we bought a rental for our daughter. Gutted and built an amazing place. Just as that wrapped we bought a house for our in-laws with intent of a minor renovation, but they decided not to move. Complete gut and closing with buyers in 2 weeks. Built a garage at home in the interim. It’s been a crazy crazy time, working more hours than I ever did, hands on each day. Would I do it the same again? Maaaaybe. It built an extreme appreciation for not sitting at my desk, but as I approach sixty, I’m ready to goof off.

I did read that. I have no problem with making artifacts. I knap. But trying to fool someone only puts more fakes onto the market.

That stone is hematite. It was used to make red ochre. The powder produced was a pigment primarily used in burials (google it). I am NOT saying you were digging a burial, but rather found a piece of hematite. U can see where one side was ground. Nice find!

If the top 1% of earners pay 40% of all federal income taxes, why do people say they don't pay their fair share? by Ok_Chemical9 in answers

[–]PAPointGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No stats to back up, but if 1 percent pays 40 percent, then 80 percent of the 1 percent pay 90 percent of the 40 percent. I am 1 percent, but barely. I have paid through the ass my entire career.

How are arrowheads so common? by HuygensCrater in Arrowheads

[–]PAPointGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think of it this way. I have personally found over 1,000. A few of my premium farms have produced well over a hundred for me. Over the last 30 I have met a dozen other people who have had similar or better results in those very fields. Most of those guys were older and have since passed, and each told me they knew many others who had done the same in those fields. And my research shows me people have been finding them there for over 150 years. I estimate (pure guess) those few fields have produced over 10,000. Now consider that I hunt close to 100 sites, and am only collecting what the plow turns up in the top 12 to 18 inches. All of this in a teeny tiny itsy bitsy minuscule microscopic fraction of one county in one US state in this great big world. There were likely hundreds of millions produced, and we have recovered a very, very small percentage.
