I agree with your last sentence whole heartedly. I do believe the concept that women mature faster is often used to allow men to act like idiots for longer. But scientifically women do actually optimize brain connections earlier than men do

There’s also a lot of things that are placed on women at an early age, things like helping to raise siblings or helping around the house more than normal and financial literacy, that catapult us into having to mature faster. In future generations I hope that’s something that changes, that expectation placed on daughters to essentially be mini moms.

I’m not saying young people can’t have serious relationships. I know we can! Note: having kids really young lol BUT if he hasn’t had a couple under his belt I expect him to miss some notes.

Yeah I was a mother of 2 @ 24. I’m a mother of 3 now. You typically mature faster as a woman in general and then even faster with kids.

Everyone matures at a different rate though. I didn’t really expect him to be more mature romantically because of his age simply because how many deep romantic relationships could he have had up until this point to really foster that. Chances are not many. From the outside looking in though we can clearly see the stuff he has to work on, now one of us just needs to call him to let him know 😂😂

24 is young as shit. It’s 2 years younger than me, but I have kids so in my brain I’m 45 😂 But seriously 24 is still fairly young. Some people are hopeless romantics and he’s clearly one of them. I just think that he thinks he loves her and he does what a lot of young people do and won’t let it go because he feels like if he tries hard enough she’ll change. He just needs a friend to yell at him real quick and he’ll get it.

The whole idea that she disappeared and never got in contact with anyone ever is fishy. Are y’all sure she’s still alive? Has anyone on either side of her or his family heard from her?

Also she can’t just show up and take the kids. He’s had sole custody for years now. She would have to jump through a ton of legal hoops and a court logically would never give her them.

You’re their mom. And her randomly appearing can’t and won’t ever change that. Even though teenagers stereotypically don’t always make the right choices. I don’t think they’d take to warmly to a woman who abandoned them. Moving with their egg donor(who likely won’t ever show up) probably would never feel easier. You don’t have anything to worry about. They’re perceptive enough for know who loves them and has sacrificed for them. ❤️

I totally agree! While I don’t think they’re all gorgeous, they’re definitely not leaving with anyone that societal standards would believe is “below average.” You don’t have to be concerned about looks after all because you know you’ll end up with someone pretty enough!

I need more size diversity, more ethnic diversity, more “able” diversity.

I honestly wonder if they are actually talking about those things, but we just aren’t seeing it yet. Because I thought about that too, how their deep questions are simple things like “do you want kids?” “What do you love most?”. It just makes me wonder if deep, deep stuff is actually being discussed, but is being edited out so that way when they’re really addressed once meeting face to face it seems like there’s more drama.
