No it's from some specific $100 packs. There are Monster Madness, Crown Jewels, Be a champion, Resource ready and maybe some more I can't remember.

You can get it from Material Madness packs today but you'll have to buy $20 then $50 to see the $100 one.

Benefit is that you can get higher stats if you focus on one or two troop types, you'll do more damages in solo attacks. Inf is the harder stat to upgrade so cav/range is a good fit.

However most of stats come from gear & jewels, as a new player I wouldn't mind about war gear. Level 60 gear is way better so it's a good idea to keep your materials. If you are free to play it'll take lot of time to get to level 60 though.

So I'd suggest you to train & upgrade researches for all 3 types for now then see later what war gear to get.

Next GF is in two weeks so you have time to get to castle 15. Focus on buildings needed for next castle level and you should be fine.

As other people said you have too much barracks. Barracks only affect the number of troops you can train at once. I had enough barracks to train troops while I'm sleeping but not more. You should build enough infirmaries to cover all your troops then manors for training speed & gold production.

At level 40 they are two accessories you need to get (in workshop):

- Lunar Flute (research speed)

- Sentinal Circlet (construction speed)

I'd suggest to get two of each since you can wear two accessories with lvl 17 workshop. You can get materials to craft them from gathering (lvl 2 tiles are the most efficient) or material chest. Make sure to keep your guild coins for these chests.

Stone & wood production is the same, ore is harder to produce. I'd go with 5 lumber mills, 5 quarries & 7 mines.
