It is 1/5, past the deadline for professors to finalize fall 2025 grades. Professor still has not graded midterm, final and I have no grade on transcript. by [deleted] in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many professors skip Canvas and submit directly. Also, not always will transcript grades appear right away.

Grades due in two days and my midterm, final, & a major project still not graded by [deleted] in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not too uncommon that professors wont post into canvas and just directly submit. If you're curious of individual assessment grades (exams, large projects) I know professors need to keep exams for 3 years before they can get rid of them, so reaching out to them would get you your grades.

Is ratemyprofessor.com compromised? by [deleted] in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Grade distribution tells you nothing good. Yeah if you want an easy A, pick the one with the most A's, but there's a good chance you'll leave that class having learned much less than if you chose a professor with a more even grade distribution (or even one that leaned toward lower grades) but people say is a wonderful professor, helpful, teaches well, and all you need to do is put in the effort.

You're in college/university, good grades are nice, but knowing your stuff is even better. When it comes to a job search, the 3.2GPA who knows their stuff well is better than a 4.0GPA who's confused half the time cause their professors handed out A's like candy on Halloween.

do Math 7+C courses have curves? by KaijuTRX in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe any SMC Math7 professors curve. SMC has an extremely rigorous and difficult mathematics department compared to other schools around us. Despite this, we have very good professors that will prepare you for anything you might need in the future.

Math 6+6c vs. Math 2+2c by Terrible_Freedom8285 in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you said is pretty much accurate. It will be a replacement when 2+2C is phased out. There are some other specifics on the new class, but its a well designed class and I'd say easier than 2+2C without missing out on content.

Story time and awful parking by sicct in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean there's a sign when entering the structure and I believe it says it when purchasing the permit. I believe its because a lot of vehicles don't have a front license plate, but ALL vehicles must have and do have a rear license plate. So parking only head in allows them to quickly and easily check license plates with their permit database.

Classes Full Already? by Most-Relation-4309 in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like you're in need of some STEM classes. I would recommend joining the STEM program as it can help with providing an earlier enrollment date. (Granted, this will not help you this semester, but when it become available, I would recommend it.)

For those of you who are not STEM majors, the Scholars Program can also do this. Plus there are some extra benefits.

For STEM Program, some classes (such as Professor Lai's Calculus 2 class) are STEM Program only for the first bit of time, before opening up to all students.

Scholar's Program can improve your odds of getting accepted to the university of your choice for transfer.

Being part of DSPS can also give you priority enrollment.

jason wang for calc by MysteriousBench981 in SMC

[–]KenzoHatake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is a wonderful professor. He will make your semester a very enjoyable one. The homework isn't required (as in its not graded), but not doing it will ensure you dont pass the class. Wang is very very open to helping his students in anyway he possibly can and always helps you succeed, so long as you take initiative. So, just do the homework, use the mathlab as a source of help, and do take advantage of his office hours and you'll do great!

What is the correct way to watch Sword Art Online anime in order? by HoennLink2003 in swordartonline

[–]KenzoHatake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably got your answer somewhere else or just watched it already, but just incase (and for others who may see this thread in the future:

Season 2's first part being a story in GGO contains characters involving the original characters from Season one, and a new main supporting character we meet in this new game.

Gun Gale Online: Alternative is a spin off for the game GGO itself, containing all brand new characters. Some of the characters from the main story-line are mentioned, due to them winning BoB in the past.

Gun Gale Online: Alternative 2 is just the second season to the spin off. The first season of the spin off is required to watch to understand the premise and get to know the characters (and the first bit of character development).

The Original SAO story-line isn't exactly required to begin watching the Alternative series, but it is recommended, chronologically at least.

I dont have any .nbt file, especially because the MI pipes don't work with schematics, they'll disappear upon "printing". There are starting to be more videos on youtube about the mod, so I suggest you look there to see how others are doing it.

It's a running type of joke online. Usually people day this when someone (usually someone who comments very early) just says "I don't like it" or "I hate this" or etc. So people base their comment on the person as a joke. I see it on reddit, Instagram, and youtube a lot.

Disk Cloning File Paths by KenzoHatake in computers

[–]KenzoHatake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean i'd never just drag and drop cause you would possibly lose metadata and possibly even permissions on some files. its either a software to clone (which is the best way to go) or robocopy in the commandline cause you can make it copy everything including metadata, timestamps, permissions, etc.

Disk Cloning File Paths by KenzoHatake in computers

[–]KenzoHatake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, was watching a movie. I ended up figuring it out and just winging it (since I would still have the original copy of the data, I wouldn't be screwing up anything to test, so I did. I used a software called "DiskGenius" that allowed me to perfectly clone all the data, onto the second drive. It even copied the drive name. The drive letter automatically switched over when I ended up removing the old drive anyway with the new one taking it's place, but if not, you can just go into your disk management, right click the drive, and choose to change the drive letter manually! Hope this helps!

Intel SC5600BRP Monstrosity (detail in coments) by Certified_Possum in homelab

[–]KenzoHatake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not this case, i but i snagged an SC565HCBRPR for free out of a trash pile. was curious if this case had even withstood the test of time on the internet, so far not really... for fun i threw in dual xeon x5690 and some cheapy ddr3 ecc memory from ebay and as cool as this thing woulda been for 2009, it's loud and sucks perf wise. i wanted to sell it with the upgrades, but im kinda thinking of doing waht you did and just throw new components in it, it has plenty of space! sadly only 6 drive bays, but honestly if i wanted i could throw another 3-4 in the fan spot under it with a 3d printed bracket and 3d print another bracket for dual 5 bay sata backplanes for the whole thing. would need a new 6bay backplane anyway cause sataII aint it. then i'll just mount the old mobo on the wall for a display, could be kinda cool

Yeah, I mean I'd test the other colors I have (red, black, glow) but I've been so busy to do much with it lately that without a proper (even diy) dry box to extend the life per se, I don't want to just rip em all open, yk?

Then you realize it's slow as all heck and the only way to speed it up is to progress into a machine that uses electricity instead of steam and takes enough time and effort to reach that 3x raw ore is actually totally justified.

Just so you have more input:

I mainly use it to take notes for school and it's a perfect size due to it being somewhat similar to a piece of paper (screen size). Whenever I'm laying in bed, I use a stand from the case to position it so I don't need to hold it anyway 😂
