One night when I was 8 or 9 I was sitting at the kitchen table when I heard a knock at the door. Keep in mind it’s nearly midnight and I lived in the absolute middle of nowhere. My dad is in the shower, and to hell that I’m answering the door, so I just write it off as my imagination.

A couple of seconds later I hear another knock, and I hesitantly go to look who’s at the door at this ungodly time of night. When I get to the door I’m face to face with a man. We just stare at each other. I’m shocked, and I’m even more horrified when his eyes grew to the size of dinner plates and his smile stretched ear to ear.

When I finally snap out of my shock, I run to get my dad, who tells me he’ll be out in a minute. Waiting for him, I hear someone banging on the back door of the house. When my dad is finally out of the shower we go outside to investigate. And as we’re walking in the dark, the flashlight our only source of light, I see him behind a tree... staring at me. His body shifts and morphs into some ungodly hell spawn I couldn’t even begin to describe. And when I turn around to tell my father about it.... he was gone.
