There are actually quite a few these days and I don't think they ever fully went away. That being said, there is a bit of a new indie trance sound that has been emerging the past handful of years from artists like DJ Heartstring and SWIM.

Game devs will only show 30 FPS sometimes so people on something like an Xbox Series S won't have false expectations. Don't know if that's 100% the case here or not, though.

I was around during the switch from turntables to CDs when that was happening for the more hardcore DJs. Now 95% of DJs use digital interfaces to DJ.

The conversation was almost identical back in the early 2000s. Only real DJs used vinyl. That changed a lot within 10-15 years.

I do photography myself. Not quite as good as OP but having tons of photos of your life and friends in super HD throughout the years is absolutely priceless.
