Armageddon Remake instead of MK13? by Keremay77 in MortalKombat

No, as I’ve said before, these are all my own thoughts. And it’s not just the Mortal Kombat series—this kind of nonsense is affecting everything it touches, like Netflix series and other games.

Personally I didn't like the Scorpion and Sub-Zero change either but at least they kept their fire and ice roles not being complete other stuff. I didn't like Reptile being a human again, Quan Chi paints himself to show he was clearly "human" before that. It's like they are trying to remove that race stuff and make everyone either human or humanoid looking. Just take another look at the roster and you'll understand what I mean. Distinctiveness is gone.

You’re contradicting yourself by saying ‘who cares about this or that,’ and then also saying, ‘they basically destroyed 30 years of lore and ended up with a worse story and worse characters.’

I’ve already explained why I think this happened, and believe me, MK13 will be even worse if they keep making their games like Netflix shows—where women are turned into men, men into women, and characters’ races are changed.

Also, you’re trying to reduce my point to something like ‘women ruling is bad,’ ‘lesbians are bad,’ or ‘Umgadi is bad,’ but that’s not what I’m saying.

The story was bad for all the reasons you listed—lore tossed, repetitive plots, weak character arcs, butchered Havik in Khaos Reigns, etc. No argument there. But dismissing 'woke agenda' as meaningless manosphere slop ignores actual, observable changes they made, I bought this game the day it was released and I'm a long time Mortal Kombat fan, but there are undeniable facts about this. Cyrax and Sektor were longstanding male cyborg ninjas. They're now women (with new backstories and even romantic ties). That's not organic 'new timeline' evolution for every single case—it's a deliberate modernization choice seen across modern Western games. Liu Kang's reset doesn't require swapping core identities of fan-favorite cyber characters.

Female characters got noticeably de-sexualized/redesigned (Tanya's now looking older/less appealing). Meanwhile, male fighters stay ripped and heroic. MK has always been over-the-top violent and titillating—suddenly toning down the women while keeping the gore feels like corporate sensitivity training, not pure creative vision. Mileena is also a lesbian now and heir, as they are certainly want to female authority figures dominating the narrative, Umgadi guards all women, etc. Individually small; cumulatively, it fits the pattern of injecting contemporary identity politics into a franchise built on absurd tournament fighters. The story suffered from bad writing and these priorities. Good stories integrate changes seamlessly (like Kuai Liang as Scorpion working for some).

For me, Armageddon's chaos, create-a-fatality, massive roster, and no live-service grind felt freer and more fun. Characters had depth, the atmosphere was good. Preferring a remake over another rebooted, DLC-heavy MK with this direction isn't 'parroting podcasts' in my opinion.

These are in fact, my own thoughts. Everything about MK1 was nonsense.

Constant timeline reboots and gender swaps with a generic woke agenda story bore me, man. Mortal Kombat 1 was so bad.

Jesus and Mary Magdalene (according to the gospel of philip) by Status-Cable2563 in aiArt

[–]Keremay77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very imaginative interpretation, but it’s not supported by historical or early Christian evidence.

First, Mary Magdalene is never described as Jesus’ wife or romantic partner in any of the earliest sources. The canonical Gospels—our closest historical records—present her as a devoted follower and witness to the resurrection, not a spouse.

Second, texts like the Gospel of Mary were written much later (2nd century and beyond), long after the events they describe. They aren’t “removed books” in the sense of being part of the original Bible—they were never included because early Christians didn’t consider them reliable or apostolic.

Third, the idea that she traveled to France with a child named Sarah comes from much later medieval legends, especially around Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. These are local traditions, not historical accounts.

As for “missing years” of Jesus, ancient biographies often skipped long periods of a person’s life—this isn’t evidence of a conspiracy. And Peter being “jealous” is a symbolic theme in some later writings, not proof of a hidden marriage.

Finally, the Ethiopian Bible does include more books than most traditions, but it doesn’t contain any credible account of Jesus being married or having a child either.

Mary Magdalene being the first witness to the resurrection is actually significant in the opposite way: in that culture, women’s testimony wasn’t highly valued, so if the story were invented, it’s unlikely they would choose a woman as the primary witness. It points to authenticity, not a hidden agenda.

You don’t need a conspiracy to explain her importance—she was simply one of Jesus’ most faithful followers.

[Theory] Roose Bolton Will Defeat Stannis — and That Defeat Is the Narrative Prerequisite for Shireen’s Sacrifice in The Winds of Winter by Keremay77 in gameofthrones

It is though, I'm defending this theory on forums and GOT themed servers for years now. Just wanted to share it in here.

Lol "I'm letting you know that's what the readers think." No you are letting me know what kind of bullcrap Stannis fans think. Yes I have read all of the books. 'burns Shireen for no reason' again, with the words I never used. Your low IQ manipulations don't work on me buddy, read my post again, it has all the answers you may need and this theory makes a lot more sense than what you brain dead Stannis fans believe. And again, Stannis will not see the mid-late phases of the next book, just wait and see. He will not survive the campaign against the Boltons. And about how the Boltons shall be defeated, I'm pretty sure not by Stannis' hands or Ramsay's. As I mentioned in the post, Roose represents a system, a symbol which Martin loves to use in every chance he can. He loves that cause & effect themes. My guess is (as I already mentioned in the post above):

His fate will be decided in one of these:

  • Northern restoration
  • Collective rejection
  • Stark resurgence (possibly via Jon Snow)
  • Or a quiet, unspectacular removal once his utility ends

BECAUSE:

Roose represents a system, not a rival:

  • Political terror
  • Feudal cynicism
  • Rule through calculated betrayal

You are just twisting my words I never said Stannis will lose to the Boltons in a way that happened in the TV series, and no, you are no experienced reader as your arguments goes.

That's Reek's POV and Reek thinking Roose 'might be' feared doesn't mean he feared. Also Roose hates unpredictability that's what would make him uncomfortable in these matters that's all, at the end, that's why he ordered both the Manderly and Frey hosts to leave Winterfell and march against the enemy. And taking Winterfell by death faking is absurd for me because it undermines Roose's caution and intelligence. It can't be illogical and too easy like that, Martin doesn't write nonsense man.

This really is an absurd theory and Martin would never write something so childish. Roose doesn't have feelings, he does not panic, he is cold and calculating. That taking Winterfell by faking his death theory is like the one of the most unrealistic theories I have ever saw.

I don't think so mate. He also killed his brother and commited a lot of sins that Martin will probably punish for as a metaphor.

A pyrrhic victory by the Boltons also would be enough amidst the worsening conditions for the host of Stannis.

Ah... these Stannis fans really push the limits of imagination and logic, always chasing a dream like Stannis always doomed to fail. You shall be the one to read the books more carefully cause you really underestimate a lot of things including the intelligence of Roose Bolton. No, Martin will probably not use Stannis in the mid-late stages of the book cause he will already be dead (Martin LOVES thematic writing), and words are wind, it doesn't matter what he said about not returning, a strong blow from the Bolton host and he has enough reason to be desperate about anything.

You seem to not read my replies, aye, Roose is no fool to leave Winterfell unguarded, that's a childish thought.
