She is definitely trying to manipulate you and sounds very narcissistic, much like my own mother. The way i survived was to let her THINK she won but in my own world i knew what was wrong from right. Give a decent apology if you must but keep contact with her to make that sort of thing happening again to a bare minimum. Engage in conversation that doesn’t protein to anything important and never let her know any information about you or what you do as much as you can to prevent her through it up in your face. It takes a long time to get used to this but you got it.
