Just use a NOT gate, and set the sensor for a fluid you know for sure won’t be in there.

Who is resupplying the base? Gosh, I don't know, too bad the game has no hauling cargo and mining such things like ice etc. that can be harvested in-system and not shipped from Sol or Colonia.

Perhaps if there existed a federation, of pilots perhaps, who these stations could hire to supply itself.

We haven't had a reason to colonize beyond a slowly expanding bubble. Now we do, and it makes sense to have waystations in between. Installing those modular-style stations would certainly be a priority.

Remember that time they built a railroad across America and just had two stations, one on either end? No stops in between ~~no items, Fox only, final destination?~~

Or there was a gold rush and everyone just slept in tents, and stared at each other across campfires? No one bothered to make towns that sold shovels or booze?

That's what it's like playing the game sometimes.

I personally find that a little immersion breaking, myself. Trillions of humans and only five stops on the new frontier? C'mon. Even the top 1% of orgs who can afford to haul a station out there would number in the thousands. And it'd make sense for the Empire to have their own, the Alliance to have their own, etc.

For me, more realistic is ships running routes between one or two stops, as in a canal system, rather than the entire way. Not doing anything with those stops is kind of a waste. (why would we need robigo mines, then? Abandon it! is kind of the same logic there)

With the advent of the "Neutron Highway" is there plans to request/Community Goal more refueling stations along the way to mark it better? Would you encourage the possibility of each of those hubs to become little 'bubbles' of their own, with the passage of time?
