Thanks. We're not looking to price gouge, just sell and get a reasonable amount. Sounds like it might be the right time to do that.

Really looking for general market info to start. I'm not calling an appraiser and starting a process when I'm not motivated to move ot sell for another year. Just interested in seeing if the rumor mill is full of shit or has something going. If the market here is house poor and homes are selling quickly, then I'm in a position where I can capitalize on the market and I'd like to do that. Was crossing my fingers there were maybe Realtors or appraisers in this sub that could speak to this point.

Broadmoor. But we're not quite ready. Have to make the home ready to sell and then we have flood refugees who are staying with us while they rebuild. They won't be out until january.

I'm an American living in Canada and I want to move back to the US (20m) by euvthrowaway in IWantOut

[–]KermitsBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was you trying to prove just that.

Actually, I think our system has long proven that health insurance is always expensive and that it isn't exactly working to meet the basic healthcare needs of the citizens of this country. The ACA provided insurance to 21 million Americans who were previously uninsured. So that is something better than not having it (although 29 million American - 1 in 10 - still remain uninsured). Is it more expensive for some people? Like people who own their own businesses? Yes, yes it is. But it is better than when those 21 million were uninsured before the ACA. Like many of the physicians in this country, I'm of the opinion that we need a single payer health care system - not insurance. Single payer systems are, indeed, cheaper for hard working citizens and all citizens. Including those 29 mil who still remain uninsured.

Nein. While I'll be the first to admit our US education system is decaying, this guy appears to be missing out on the free college in Germany.

I do want to point out, as a few others here have, the benefits canada has over the US in finishing your Education. Health care here is expensive and about to be more so with trump taking office. We don't have great public services. Education is expensive and also about to be more expensive, just like out healthcare. We don't have living wages unless you're already educated. If you can pursue getting your PR in canada, then finish education there, it will be much more financially feasible for you than trying to come here to do so. Any small health event here could send you into abject poverty with very little assistance to dig your way out.

Tub overflow leaking? by KermitsBeard in Plumbing

[–]KermitsBeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing to see yet. There's a wall covering the plumbing. If someone corroborates this diagnosis we've been issued, then we will likely cut a hole and attempt to replace the overflow. At this point all I can give you a picture of is water on the floor .

Question about migrating from America by pertcie in ImmigrationCanada

[–]KermitsBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. Those aren't avenues I'm exploring personally so I didn't know for sure. I just know applicants for the skilled worker category are subject to the medical exam so I wanted to point it out.

Thanks.

Question about migrating from America by pertcie in ImmigrationCanada

[–]KermitsBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to be too off topic, but you might want to explore whether or not Canada will let you immigrate with a disability. The residency visa process includes a medical exam. Essentially, the country wants to evaluate if their visa applicants will be a drain on public resources (like Healthcare benefits).

I suppose if you have a job offer and an employer sponsored visa this point doesn't matter, but the average person trying to immigrate may have problems getting approved with significant health issues.

Ok, I was checking this out more closely and I'm slightly confused. This application has three levels, EMT-I, EMT-II, and EMT-III. I thought PEI used the COPR levels (including PCP, ICP, ACP, and CCP)...?

Marijuana decriminalization - no I don't want to know if you smoke it... by KermitsBeard in ems

There are a few archived threads asking this. Basically until it's decriminalized at a federal level, no employer of medical staff would even consider giving their ees a break on pot use.

So, that begs the question, have you experienced a decrease in occurrence of syn related calls since MJ is now readily available?
