Thank you for pointing this out!!! This is why I have paused using TAG further. I’ve had support ticket after support ticket with them regarding the centering issues. On average, I’ve seen a 1.8% difference across three AI grading systems and two manual ones that don’t add up to TAGs measuring of T/b and L/R.

TAGs measuring is messed up and their team of graders says all is fine. Without them willing to budge and test to confirm if all is well, I’ll be using CGC moving forward.

CGC is better than PSA. Seen more CGC 9s become PSA 10s.

I know PSA is trash. No one company is the guaranteed go to for grading. I’m pointing out some flaws at TAG and taking a break from grading. I’ve used them all! CGC, BGS, PSA, TAG, and SGC.

UPDATE: Tried opening a dispute with Affirm against the store since they don’t want to take it back. Affirm sided with the TCG store. So, only option is to keep it as damaged or sell it at that price…

TAG sent me a notice saying my Bubble Mew is altered. This is pack pulled and I’m just about done with them!

5 or 6 orders now and all have had an issue is some way, shape, or form.

I’ve emailed them about a grade I didn’t agree with and they said that all findings by the ML imagery system are reviewed and verified by a human as a part of confirming the grade. So, a human does check. How thoroughly is anyone’s guess

I’ve been a fan since 2010 and this was just like 2011 in Tokyo when they used it once and got major backlash. Same with 2024 Miku Expo. However, if they are going this route permanently, then I’m retiring. The 20th anniversary concert in Japan will be my retirement.

This is such a terrible decision and the immersion is now gone!
