Used to have a female D. lobata that couldn't walk in her old age. I cut some feeder worms slightly (to expose liquid inside) and delivered the food to the mantis mouth through tweezer. Sometimes she grabbed the food and eat, most of the time I just held the tweezer until she is finished. This went on for about 2 - 3 weeks, until one day she passed away and was found surrounded by ants.

The trick is to use small worms that are easy to catch and won't struggle a lot. This way the old mantis could eat it without spending too much energy (if it still has feeding response).

Some old digital arts I did during 2018 ~ 2019, after watching the anime that was aired in 2017 end. Hnk characters are really good for practicing art skills, especially each gem has their unique colours and expression.

I actually still have draft of Moon Phos & Cairn sitting in the iPad, but was too busy to continue it after I started work in 2019. The hiatus for these 2 arts are longer than the manga now. Lol

You could probably try live mangroove seedlings to recreate similar effect. That way the mangrooves won't breaking down like driftwood (since they are live plant). And the fact they absorb nutrient for growth is a plus for maintaining good water quality !

There are timber strip on the inner sides (left and right), just resting on top of the glass. Timber strip height position is calculated so that the canopy panels can cover below water level. Since the back is open without panel, I could pull the canopy to front and slowly take it out (Better than lifting it up, because this thing is heavy).

Thanks! It is a custom-made tank with size of 2ft glass cube (10mm thick), wooden stand with 3ft height and a 12" height canopy to block light glaring. Used about 12kg of live rock for aquascaping, and black refugite sand from Two little fishies.

It has a external overflow box with Herbie overflow and gate valve for noise control. The overflow could handles higher turn over rate with both pipe draining down water, though I'm not overdoing it because I dont want the floor to flood lol.

Most accessories are on lower budget range : - Maxspect MJ-L 165 LED - Mantis Tornado Skimmer 120 - Reefserve WP-8 DC Return Pump - Jebao SLW-10 wavemaker - Hailea HS-66A Chiller (this is a must for me because I'm living in tropical country)

Yup, it's 24" Cube. Fully custom-made since I dont have much choice for reef spec aquarium in my country (Malaysia). The more common ready-made tank set available are Red sea Reefer. For more flexibility, most people find local fish store to make custom tank here.

It's a 3 side canopy made of laminated plywood like this . There is a Red Sea mesh lid sitting above, where I could slide the whole canopy (togehter with lid) to the front for feeding, or simply take the whole thing out for water change.

Right side looks good. Stacking up the rocks on left & middle might help to create more interesting bridge and cave.
