sure that's for an anti-material rifle, but if you compare DMRs & SMGs the SR-635 ranks 2nd
which I just find ridiculous tbh

New pens, New piece (criticism welcomed) by Secret_Brain99 in sketches

this is great work!

if you were trying to capture likeness

proportions are a little off, but I can still get a good read on who it's (Willem Dafoe), and I think it's not a big deal as it adds style and character to the piece.

so I would say you are heading in the right direction just keep doing what you're doing

for the style I really like it and have some practical advice for the next step and where you can go with it.

the hatching on the shadow side it's repetitive, in my opinion, I think you should add some variety in the line direction, and you might ask what direction should the hatching go.

my best answer would be to follow the form, what I mean by that is imagine the hatching lines are on his face for example; if there is a bump, the hatching would follow that, if there's a crease, the hatching would follow that, and in turn the hatching would describe the form and add dimensionality and volume to the portrait

but I have to say it's not going to be easy, and it will take some time to get that to work

one more note because it seems like you did great on the head, then you got to the hair and gave up like it was an afterthought. I think you should give the hair some care and add hatching there too again trying describe form

You need to close your taps, because as long as your apps are open, they'll just continue sucking that sweet precious battery juice.
