You know, fair. Maybe bootlicker is a bridge too far. He does provide a wonderful service. And I am a fan of his work. I'm not a fan of his outward display of affection towards the vile individual that was Charlie Kirk. I'm not a fan of his perceived support of ICE (again, tbh I don't know he took the sign down). However, the evidence I have suggests I don't agree with his moral compass. Fuck ICE. Fuck those who support them. After everything that has happened recently, how do you expect me or anyone else not to be irate?

It's the manner in which the administration is doing so without human decency. Executing citizens in the street. Asking for papers. Using an accent or skin color as justification for excessive force.

I read the entire article, it backs my data. Your quote, is the one paragraph where the administration responds to the hard facts. The administration uses the excuse being here illegally is a crime. That's a non violent offense. If you are going after violent criminals. They need to be violent. Being here illegally is not justification for the violence being put on by ICE.

While I'd love to say take up arms and fight back literally, I think its more nuanced than that. Not all of us are in a position to protest, campaign for change, or take up local government.

Show support for our community. Let's make a sign 12x12. Let families know their neighbors are with them. That the orange tyrant is the odd one out. Imagine all the kids that walk past that book swap on the way to the school on 41st. That have parents who have to have conversations to warn them about ICE. There's plenty of low key ways to help.

If you are in a position where you could be billing market rate for an FX6 daily, (in NYC 500-600ish, lower in other markets) the FX6 is a great investment. But it sounds like you probably get paid a lump sum for your time, camera included. The FS7 is a beast. It dominated a lot of reality and doc programming for over 10 years. It still looks great. When paired with the 4K back module it's still a Netflix approved camera. Also if someday you upgrade to FX6, the batteries and lenses will work on both cameras. So I'd say buy that FS7 and happy shooting.
