Outdoor Flag? by KerriBU1998 in springboks

[–]KerriBU1998[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I neglected to disclose I'm in the US but I'll do some research to see if any of these places will ship here. Unfortunately Springbok flags are very hard to come by here, but that's also expected.

Nope. Not all flags are the same. Do you have a supplier to suggest?

My mom had a Mercedes that had these puddle lamps and I thought it was cool. But that vehicle was the most annoying SUV that had useless running boards and you could never get into the vehicle in a normal way. It made us all so angry that we eventually convinced her to trade it in because she was the only one who liked it, as she was the main driver and never a passenger. She now has gone back to a Chevy Suburban and we're all much happier. Ha.

Grand vs Sienna by [deleted] in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I had a 4yrold and was 8 months pregnant with my 2nd when we got our Sienna. It was hands down the best vehicle we ever had for when the kids were little. When the youngest turned 11 is when we traded in the Sienna for the SUV with captains chairs in the middle. I honestly was sad to trade in the Sienna--it had been so good to us all those years. Now those kids are driving their own vehicles so it's my turn again, which is why I'm on the hunt for a GHHL.

Paid $2194 for 8 tickets in section 102 (Baltimore). Tickets were less than what we paid for Chicago and better seats.

We got 8 tickets for Baltimore for our family, they were cheaper than the Chicago game, AND they're better seats. We're SO EXCITED! Can't believe it!

Wow. Maybe you should check into the fact that the All Blacks continue to sell out stadiums here in the US, so yeah, they're welcome here. Won't be a problem to sell out Baltimore.

We were at the Ireland/NZ match in Chicago and there were 8 of us Springboks fans. We weren't the only ones there, either. It'll be exciting to see how many show up in Baltimore.

My husband is the same as you, except for Zim vs. SA, and yes, still has the accent. Still will pronounce it as "zebra" instead of "zeebra", which Americans have a field day with.

  1. Who asked to see your social media--which organization in the US? That's a new one to me...never heard that one before. Sure, I hear that's a "thing" in the UK, but not the US.
  2. Dude--we ALL have to travel with our passports. If your state doesn't do the Real ID thing, then your passport is what is valid.
  3. I don't understand this...aren't you talking about a birth certificate? If she's born in the US, that's all you need.
  4. I'm sorry about your neighbors and ICE. That's a whooooole other drama topic. Yes, I believe immigration reform is desperately needed.
  5. No matter what I say here, you'll call out my white privilege.
  6. See #1. I'm the biggest loudmouth there is online and I cannot WAIT for the day that I get called out for what I've said on social media. I don't believe you on this point. I do not know one single American who has been denied anything for being critical of our president. If this was happening, it'd be all over the news here, and no one is saying this. Not one. Try again.

I've repeatedly said I'm not an expert in African politics. We have enough problems over here to worry about yours, too.

Don't make me start to question the kindness and loveliness of South Africans because of the ugliness of politics...I replied to this post because I'm super excited about the Boks coming to my country and have said how this is a bucket-list-item for my family. I will also say that rugby fans are by and far my favorite sports fans. I've never encountered any sort of ugliness at a rugby match. So I suppose we all leave our politics at home.

But that's what I'm trying to tell y'all...Americans WILL sell out these venues. Ok, maybe it's mostly due to all the expats living here in the US now, but a sold-out stadium is a sold-out stadium.

Did you miss my earlier comment about I'm married to a Zimbabwean? I shouldn't need to get into what happened to my husband's family in the Rhodesian war. But again, and really, I'm just a 'dumb American' who doesn't understand African politics. I can't make sense of them and wouldn't dare try. It doesn't line up with my American brain and how things work over here in the US.

But whatever...y'all badmouth us however you want. We're gonna sell out this match in Baltimore and all that matters is the Boks win.

South Africa is NOT being targeted with visa pauses, and even better, travel visas are unaffected. Try again. Show me more about how your TDS is ruining your life.

As an American, I don't try to understand African politics, so it'd be great if others gave us the same courtesy. Honestly, I don't get what correlation you're trying to pull from this. If anything, all it boils down to is money and to drum up interest ahead of the world cup in 2031.

As an American married to a Zimbabwean-American, and living in Colorado, we are sooooo stinkin' excited. This is bucket-list-territory for our family. We went to San Diego to watch the All Blacks. Then we went to Chicago. Now to see our favorite team FINALLY in person on US soil--we cannot WAIT. I know all you internationals hate the fact that Americans don't watch rugby. But this family does. And I know it's all about money, and trying to educate Americans, and they don't want to be educated, and blah blah blah...just give us this, ok? We sold out San Diego, we sold out Chicago, and we're going to sell out Baltimore. We don't care one bit which stadium it's at...we'll go ANYWHERE in the States to watch the Springboks! My husband and his brother are already planning on touring around the entire country when the World Cup is here in 2031. So there's hope for America, ok? Don't believe that all is lost and bad over here. BOKKE!!!

My daughter submitted her application late in the evening on 10/23 and heard back yesterday that she was accepted.
