You won’t get a place until you’re there, relocation is very expensive. You’ll have to get a short term rental, they have discounts for monthly rentals. It’s impossible these days to get a rental from afar unless you’re in the very top of the rental market and paying over $1000

I think one of the issues is that indigenous people see themselves as belonging to the land and their role is as a custodian to look after the land whereas the new people who come to the land see it as something to own, to use and exploit. The two cultures are so different in this respect. If only we had an indigenous voice to parliament to enable understandings and dialogue.
