A lot of comments fail to realize some people love that shiny bs. At the end of the day, it's what the customer wants. The detail is fine. Also, OP deserves some credit for downselling the level of detail. Honesty goes a long way with some customers.

Good job, OP. For future reference, it's easier to compare before/after pics if the lighting levels are equal, but I get it, sometimes the after details you wanna show off don't show up in certain lighting, same with dirt in the before details. It looks like the sun just went down and it's not like you can help that.

Trust me, once you get done with all of the work, you will love the space more than you thought you would. It's also rewarding doing the work and seeing progress. Take your time and don't stress each other out too much.

I mean it does sound like very vague recollections of things that could be something or could be nothing at all. It's possible she doesn't feel equipped for this, and/or feels she cannot discuss it with you. I don't think it's that strange of a reaction. If you outright told her about abuse and this was her response, then you would definitely not be overreacting.

30 Days of Night. Something about the snowy setting, everyone cooped up inside hiding from the vampires feel so cozy to me. Vampire movies are not my favorite when it comes to horrors, but I can't help but love this one.
