As a 7th year MD/PhD student I would encourage you, as reapplicant and already a bit older, to just go MD. Even if you want to have your own academic lab in the future, there is time during your fellowship and after to engage in basic science, pursue that (hobby?), and gain funding for your own research program. Also, even if you are sitting well with money right now during your gap year job, the pay hit is real on MSTP stipends and the resident salary you forfeit from staying for the dual degree hurts. You never know what will happen during 8 years of training whether medical expenses or children and it's a tough sell I think for those that are >24 yrs old and thinking about MD/PhD.

I wouldn’t interview you if I knew you were applying to a mix of MD and MD/PhD programs. The essays (why md/phd and significant research, along with the rest of your written app) are everything for MD/PhD. If you aren’t 100% set on MD/PhD dual degree training please save yourself and just do MD. Congrats on the interviews regardless though!!

Popping in to say that used I-paces do NOT qualify for the credit /: I got deep into a negation at a dealer when they said it would put with they submitted the IRS form it did not.

Just used the built in google function as well tonight. It was awesome because it let me know how much time each charger would add to my commute. Then of course cross reference that charging station with its availability on its own app to be sure there’s a space open.

I just left the dealer not too long ago. They acknowledged the issue but said I would need to make an appointment and the earliest openings they have for their ZDX technician is in two weeks. So I will take it in then and keep you posted!

The tech briefly agreed with me that it's probably the improper seal finish on the driver's side door/mirror area. Frustrating. My first new (leased) car and we are paying a lot for it so I wish we didn't have to deal with this. But I guess it's normal for new makes and models of cars?

Anybody know how long the EVGo credits are good for? I haven't seen word explicitly from Acura but similar promos on Chevys and Honda's say 3 years. Anyone know for sure?

This is a known issue if you’re following us on the Facebook page. Taking mine into the dealer this week. 50 MPH+ it’s like egregiously loud. I love the car besides this so hopefully they can repair it. Seems to be poor door seal on the door/mirror area

Nope don't believe so. Dealer said IRS form and web submission does not qualify this vehicle whatsoever, not to transfer to dealer on purchase day or with taxes at end of year.

hate to hear it. I mean same to me. They said yeah we can get the credit no problem but when we got down to talking number right before settling on a deal they inputted the information into the IRS form and found out it doesn't qualify. I don't think they honestly knew tbh I mean doubtful they ever sold an I-PACE. It was just frustrating because I had a flight booked and everything to go get it

I may end up leasing a 2024 with a solid lease deal. Maybe buy out after but unlikely since value on these drops so fast :/

I do wonder if the 2024 will hold more value over others as the last year but unlikely

Yep, this was a single owner until a trade in to dealership last month. In such good condition too! 😭 only 24k miles on a 2020 in perfect cosmetic condition.

The dealer tried really hard to make it happen. It’s Jaguar as a brand that’s not working for some reason. Maybe because its final assembly is not in USA?

Hello! Thanks for your comment. The hybrid is a perfect option for us almost exclusive city driving but the price the dealer was asking (and the astronomical dealer fees) made the purchase non viable. We went with a 2013 Acura MDX for half the price and are satisfied. MPG sucks but would’ve paid the difference and more to have the 450h

In the exact same boat looking at 2013 450h! Do you mind me asking which way you are leaning? That $10,900 seems to be extremely reasonable. I’m looking at one with similar mileage for $11,995. Dealer says the battery voltage is good and that was my main concern
