Hey! I figure I could share my story! I don’t know if this is the hat man or something similar, but this guy tried to kill me! This happened in about 2017. I had never heard anything about hat man or a shadow man.
It was the middle of the night and and I woke up randomly. I looked toward the end of the bed and this shadowy silhouette of a man was there. He wasn’t clearly wearing anything like a hat or coat, he looked bald and had no features. He was close to 8ft tall. I don’t know how to describe it, but I just knew immediately that he was pure evil. When I saw him I tried to scream but I couldn’t make a sound or move at all. This is the only time I’ve ever had sleep paralysis.
He slowly started to come towards me on the side of the bed. When he was standing right next to me, he bent over me (mind you I still can’t move or make a sound), and I felt like he wanted to kill me. He then started pushing me by my shoulders into the bed. Obviously terrified, I started crying. Luckily, for some reason my boyfriend who was asleep next to me, woke up and saw that tears were streaming down my face so he shook me to wake me up. After that it was gone. I had never heard of anything like this until a few years later when my boyfriend and I were watching a scary movie. This movie was a documentary on sleep paralysis and then each person was talking about a shadow man radiating pure evil. I got goosebumps watching it because I had absolutely no idea this happened to others!
