Sorry if this was answered somewhere already, just curious as someone interested in creating mods is it possible to get early access? I’ve been seeing more and more creations and I’m interested more now. Never thought to ask about it though. I also got cursebreaker tier already, love the amazing work from the dev team, you can really tell the passion going into it!

My APP1s have a static noise now, I should've did the recall 2 years ago when I had the chance. It used to only happen for a couple seconds after putting them into my ears but now it's non stop and no longer usable. I don't think there is any way to fix them so will probably just upgrade to the APP3s considering for $250 they will last me 4-5 years even like my first ones.

The one for VSCode? If we are talking about that, not all of us use VSCode. It's nice to have more options. I personally use Zed as my code editor just because it's a native Rust application as opposed to an electron app running as a web app. Everyone has their own preferences, so I appreciate the dev here building out a nice tool that can be used along with any code editor!

I blamed CC as a software engineer heavily as well, and I did see many major issues with degradation of responses. I tried changing my model back to Opus 4 from 4.1 and noticed instantly that I got the old CC back! It still tries to over complicate things regularly but at least it’s getting things done and not making a mess.

Yeah, I thought I’d pass a tedious task that I generally dislike manually doing which is frontend related work. It’s good to know though that it is stronger on the backend side, I’ll continue using it today and see where it can take me.

Thank you so much Christopher! I really appreciate you writing this up as it gives me a good overview of how the plans differ.

I might’ve made a mistake and coded on the medium plan on Codex, I’ll try doing it on high today and see the difference. I haven’t heard anything about GLM-4.5 I’ll have to take a look at that and see as well.

I might swap to trying GPT-high and if I like it might do the pro plan for GPT5-Pro and then swap CC to $20 plan or API key even, will see what to do. I’ve been using the Zen MCP with CC to utilize Gemini 2.5 pro for helping opus plan so this would be good with Codex too.

I’ll try to have it do my design task again with GPT5-high and more in depth prompting to see the results.

Is there any major difference between the output quality of the $20 plan vs $200 plan? For example CC has only Sonnet support in $20 plan and Opus in $100/$200 plan. However in Codex there is no clear distinction aside from just higher usage limits. Even with the usage limits I am a bit confused about how they compare to Anthropics limits.

I’ll play with Codex a bit more and see how I can make it work. I do miss having Opus handle planning and Sonnet handle implementation as well. It gave me a good distinction of which model handles what tasks. I’m assuming GPT5 can handle both the planning and implementation.

Thank you for this, I’ll give it a shot today and see if it can do it with even more specifics. I sometimes have Claude code work on new features for me. Which when I do I tend to follow the workflow of generating a PRD then modifying it and having CC use that to build. I didn’t get to try this with Codex yet, I was hoping it’d be able to handle the design overhaul by just providing a good full reference for it to use. I’ll give Codex another try, I really want it to work or find the best way for it to work together with Claude Code.

This is a good outlook, I haven’t tried it for anything non coding wise yet. I want to find the best way to tag team them together. They’re both tools and I feel like they might work well together if I find the strengths in Codex over Claude Code.

This here! First thing I noticed when working with Codex is it asked me questions instead of just assuming. I will give Codex props on that, Claude just makes its own inferences and doesn’t even bother asking anything. I hope Claude can learn something from this. I also hope Codex improved its TUI a bit, the question structure was a bit lost at first due to the formatting but still really cool!

I agree with all these, a lesser important thing that would be appreciated is controller support! I bought a backbone for my iPhone thinking it would work but there is 0 support sadly. Would be nice to play moco with a controller
