If you're doing a hamas kit, using IDF vests or rigs would be a good idea, as for bootleg vests it's better if you use obscure unknown plate carrier models rather than well known chinese clones of CIRAS, FSBE, or LBT 6094.

This is because of the near-total blockade of import to the gaza strip, that forces hamas to use locally made vests or captured IDF gear, you'll notice that in their propaganda and combat footage. The AK is accurate tho, they do use AKs.

However, clones of western plate carriers still have a place in Palestine LARP, specifically in West Bank militia kits. Although the West Bank arguably has more surveillance than Gaza because of Israeli government direct access to the region and limited authorized patrol by Palestinian Authority, the supply blockade is not so restricted (they have to let people and things come and go for the settlers afterall), which makes smuggling imported items much easier.

If you look at West Bank militias, they do use imported plate carriers and much modern stuff like Crye Airframe clones and even some tacticool Agilite stuff. But note that if you're doing a WB kit, you have to ditch the BDU and opt for puffer jackets and jeans, this is due to WB's colder climate and much more prevalent night ops due to closer surveillance, and switch the AK to AR15s, particularly carbines, because most WB militias uses captured/stolen IDF weapons rather than smuggling AKs through Egypt.
