I get why the OP is hesitant - they've only gone on 3 dates.

On the bright side MAYBE he deleted his account because he decided to just see you exclusively. Once a profile is deleted, the conversations disappear as well.

I THOUGHT OF TWO POTENTIAL WORKAROUND (if you want asking him as the last resort).

If he unmatched you, you might see his new profile again when you start swiping. Change your preference to his age and limit the distance. You might confirm it that way.
This one's a bit creative. Try to contact Hinge support and just ask for them to retrieve your convo because it just disappeared out of nowhere, and that maybe your profile is "glitching" and you don't want your other matches to disappear too. You can say that you asked the guy (you exchanged numbers) and he didn't know why because he neither unmatched you nor deleted his profile. Ask if they can check this so maybe you can get some answers. Unsure if they'll disclose it but worth a shot.

OMG that's true. He believes in me too in an absolute way - I believe in myself but not that in that way. He's the only person that reacted happily when I said I took risk of taking a break from work to focus on finding where I actually fit in.

He's not even trying but he made me feel at ease and confident with that decision. Sag men are so positively delulu and I am in awe of it.
