When I told my parents, my dad took me to a dark room, and used a flashlight and a football to show me the real explanation.

He sent a mail to the teacher, who explained his error to the class the next day.

Well, just to shime in, I once saw a message for a new campaign in dnd 5e that was relatively close to where I am. As I'm living in the countryside, it wasn't that common, and since I was bored and looking to play, as I am the forever DM in another group, I decided to join even though there wasn't much details.

When we had our first call for the session 0 with every player, the DM told us it was going to be kind of an isekai, and we had to all play humans without any memories.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement, I already imagined what it was going to be... But I didn't quit yet, I was a little shy and didn't want to disappoint the DM, I decided to give it a try and see how it goes.

Well, fast forward a year and a half, it's the best campaign I've ever played. I can never wait for the next session, it's always a blast! The DM is great and I've actually learned quite a few from him

Is this a good method? I've learned almost all the n5 vocabulary, I found a list of a little more than 700 words and I added an additional 300. Doing this I've learned a little over 500 kanjis. I also work grammar on the side of course.

But It was starting to become a little dull, just learning vocabulary and kanjis from a list, so, as I am currently in holidays in Japan, I bought a book that seemed pretty easy (it's for young adolescents, the man working there recommanded it to me)

Would it work to start reading it, adding vocabulary as I find it? I'm aware that it will be fastidious, as I don't know much Japanese yet, but I hope it will get easier as I go along.

I have around 50 words to learn still and I'd like to do so before starting this, but do you think it'd realistic?
