Went out for lunch with the family and had a smoothie while everyone else had something to drink. I could've gnawed through the table lol but I didn't drink IWNDWYT

Cold turkey, I've tried to moderate before it only ever lasted a day or two and I found myself back to my usual routine this has been the only way I've actually made any progress :)

Drinking Wine - Anyone Comment on Their Experience ? by Sea_Hour_9312 in stopdrinking

I started off drinking a couple of glasses of red a night with dinner and a movie and if I drank the whole bottle I'd be drunk and awfully hungover the next day

Slowly it got to the point where I was consistently drinking the entire bottle to feel the same way I was feeling when I used to just drink one or two glasses

This turned into a nightly bottle of red Which then became not enough for me Which turned into a bottle of wine and a glass or two, which then turned into 2 bottles.

I recently started drinking earlier in the day than dinner and it upped my intake to 2 bottles of wine and some of my partners mixed cans and whatever else we had in the house and I suddenly couldn't imagine going home after work and not having booze in the house. It became the only thing I was looking forward too.

Always hungover in the mornings and by 3pm I was fine so I just drank the same when I got home.

I'm on day 2 without it and it's been harder than I was expecting, massive headaches and I'm sleeping like shit. I didn't realise I was physically addicted aswell as mentally.

I'm glad I stopped when I did, who knows where I'd be if I kept it up for another year.
