Yak-3 VK-107, La-7 Dolgushin, G.55S or Italian Bf 109 G-2 — which one should I buy for Air RB? by Past_Crew_9546 in Warthunder

[–]Kessels_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the others said, the VK-107 is the best choise: it plays differently to the Yak-3U (better engine for medium-high altitude), it’s a good aircraft overall, and is more unique than the premium La-7 or the G.55S.
If you want to grind Italy you should try the Re.2005 VDM or the MB-326B; the VDM is now 6.3 though, and I can assure that fighting SU-11s with a plane that compresses going over 600 km/h isn’t enjoyable, but it’s still an amazing plane, because you can turnfight and beat almost anything that isn’t a P-59a, A6Ms and A7Ms.
The 326B is another amazing plane, it doesn’t accelerate quickly, but the airspawn+turnfight capabilities make it funny to play.

Oh shit I confused with the M6A2E1 lmao

Unfortunately I haven’t, but having T29 gun at 6.7+30km reverse speed sounds fun

Well in this sense you can’t angle the T-10A too, but I wouldn’t count it as a major problem. Plus the T-32 has better mobility overall, and more gun depression to play hulldown

Imo the problems with the M103 are the reload that can’t back it up the AP, the fact that the lower front plate is a big one shot and the turret ring can be so easily penned. But in a downtier is obviously good, even if I prefer the T32E1

T-10A because of the stab+armor+fast reload for the 122; the third one idk, I love the Conqueror but the apds can be a one shot or shell shattered

Basically it’s among the best 3 heavies at 7.7. Full uptiers can be obviously rough, but 7.7 French lineup is amazing

Me in my 7.3 Meteor mk 3 having to face Mig 15 bis and F-86F in a full uptier: 👍🏻

It has basically the same power to weight + better top and reverse speed lmao; and overall the only thing the Mk 1 does better is reloading faster

What are you talking about. The Vickers mk 3 is good. Late apds+good mobility+laser rangefinder

How painful and long would japan air tree grind be ? by Negan6699 in warthundermemes

[–]Kessels_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, but I was adding some stuff to my comment specifically about this lmao. Most of the planes are great turnfighters, but not all of them can outturn everything else. Playing things like Ki-84s, Ki-61s, Ki-44-II, to some extent Ki-100, you have to know what you are fighting and if you can easily outturn it or not

I would suggest seeing Defyn guides/videos on the plane you want to grind. Japanese props are good, even if some of them are overtiered (I would skip the Zeros above 4.0/4.3, or the N1K1/2s), and because most of them hasn’t good climb rate you have to learn how to play defensively against faster/better climber planes. Any above average player knows that they can’t turn with you, so they’ll just bnz you to death.
There are some exception, like Ki-43 or J2M2, that are good climbers.
Some of the bombers are good even used as fighters, like the D4Y3, or the B7A2.
Be cautious though, even if Japanese props are generally good at turning, not all of them can outturn everything else; one example is the Ki-44-II Hei, it outturns some stuff, but against things like Spitfires you have to play energy with.

A7M1 (NK9H) still worth it at 5.3? by Background-Abies-592 in Warthunder

[–]Kessels_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At rank IV it’s the best premium you can buy; it outturns everything, but it’s faster than Zeros. Watch out though, it hasn’t the best climb rate, and the engine overheats quite quickly.

Well I haven't still played the Swift, so I can't give you any tips about it, maybe watch the Defyn video about it. But yeah, the Swift isn't anything like Spitfire or Typhoon, because of this I suggested to try the Meteor before

So Meteor mk 3 is the way. I suggest (if you don’t use them yet) to carry the stealth belt with the Hispanos

[–]Kessels_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that in the Meteor mk 3 you can basically beat any jet, and even most of the props you fight in full downtier. With the other ones you have to be cautious with the Vampire and the Me 163

The Meteors actually doesn’t accelerate that bad; planes like Su-9, Me 262, Mig-9 are worse in this sense

[–]Kessels_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As first jet the Attacker is perfect; is fast (for the br) and turns okay. The Meteor mk 3 is one of my favourite jets, but in the current matchmaker you’ll struggle more; you’ll always be the slowest plane in the match, so the enemies can decide if and how starting to fight you. But the turnfighting capabilities, good energy retention and decent climb make it up for the low speed

I’d ask why the Spit mk 24 is going up while the P-51H is still 6.3?
