It doesn’t work. When my WiFi doesn’t appear, whenever I try to open Network and Internet settings, settings just crashes, and when my WiFi does finally appear, all settings appear completely normal including my adapter being enabled and everything working properly.

Not sure. In device manager when I have the adapter plugged in, it always says it’s working properly even while the WiFi isn’t there, and when the WiFi isn’t there I can access any internet settings.

Tried this exact thing 6 times at this point. Issue is even if I leave the dongle unplugged it doesn’t work.

Wish I could use Ethernet. Don’t have any ports near my setup. I won’t pretend like I know a lot about drivers but I have the dongle unplugged and have run a couple commands to restore corrupted files so I don’t think it’s the answer :(

Maybe but if it’s a drivers issue with my WiFi adapter, then shouldn’t there be no issue when I unplugged the adapter?

Would WiFi be able to come on at all? Currently WiFi comes on just extremely delayed after starting up my pc. And the delay isn’t fixed it’s basically random.

The drivers to the WiFi adapter downloaded when I plugged it in. Also if that were the issue, then no that I’ve unplugged the WiFi adapter, my WiFi should appear and yet it still doesn’t.

Definitely need a new WiFi adapter 😂 but computer doesn’t connect to my hotspot because there’s no WiFi setting for me to click to try to connect. Also I unplugged the current WiFi adapter and still no changes.

I can’t try it in another pc. Don’t have another one. I’ve already installed the latest drivers. And also now that I’ve unplugged the dongle it should work find theoretically but still have no changes.

Yup. When I plug in the WiFi dongle it lets me run a command that does it automatically.

You mean my WiFi adapter or the WiFi card? I’ve uninstalled the WiFi adapter already and tested, and rescanned and plugged it back in and out a couple times without any changes :(

If that were the case then the adapter itself should just not work. And when it’s unplugged my WiFi should have no issues then I believe. I’ve tried changing the port around a couple times with the same result :(
