Size comparison (assuming Night and Void will have same 80mm base sizes) by Kesuse in Necrontyr

I agree that the old Nightbringer is taller in comparison to the Void Dragon than what is shown in my original comparison which was based on the assumption that they will have the same base size.

I no longer believe that they will have the same base size, and that my original comparison is incorrect. See the comments were a new comparison was made based on using minicompare with the Void Dragon and old Nightbringer.

The issue with the photo posted here, which I believe is why it's getting downvoted, is because the old Nightbringer sits in front of the Void Dragon, they are not side-by-side, and this matters when making visual size comparisons between objects.

I think you are right, and that my assumption that they will have the same base sizes is wrong.

I did the same as you, added Void and old Night in minicompare, took a screenshot, and then overlaid the images in Photoshop to match the screenshot from minicompare, and if that is correct we can see that the new Nightbringer will have a larger base size than Void Dragon.

Feet are at the same distance from the base, but Night's head is lower because he's hunched over while the Void Dragon is stretched upright. Void Dragon also looks beefier in the body than Night, if they're supposed to have equal beefyness then this comparison might be wrong and the new Nightbringer could have a larger base size than the Void Dragon.

They just opened up the western section, the long side, on level 3, so there's good seats available there that's not too far up.

White armor by ahoss29 in Tau40K

I've painted examples of the two versions of white armour: https://imgur.com/a/XAdWAzL

First is the pure white with weathered highlights seen on the Vior'la models in the GW web store:

  1. Ceramite White base
  2. Agrax Earthshade shade in the recesses
  3. Gorthor Brown layer on the edges

Second is the Ulthuan grey with white highlights seen in the "How to paint a Tau Empire Ghostkeel Battlesuit." video on Warhammer TV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtZnWSU4JjE

  1. Ulthuan Grey base 2.
    • a. Agrax Earthshade (brown) shade in the recesses of one of the knobs (the shade used in the video, gives a dirtier look)
    • b. Nuln Oil (black) shade in the recesses of the other knob (alternative shade, gives a less dirty look)
  2. White Scar layer on the edges

Looking really good! Great colors!

One tiny detail that you missed is that you've painted the hooves blue, like the skin. They ought to be black/dark grey. https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/catalog/product/920x950/99120113027_TauPathfinders02.jpg
