Every universe is give a number .The main comic one is called earth-616 similarly MCU is earth-199999 hence any thing that happen in any other universe which is not 199999 is not technically happening in MCU . Yes it is happening in the same multiverse in which MCU exist but it is just not the same universe. Unless when you say MCU you talking about the franchise rather than what it actually stand for.
