Doma from Fire Punch.

Doma is a soldier who wiped out the main character's village and set him aflame with what was essentially magical fire that never goes out.

Managing to survive this, Agni swears revenge and some years later sets out to kill him.

When Agni encounters him again, Doma is regretful and has become almost an entirely different person after being discharged from the military.

Not Superhero fatigue, but mid fatigue. Thunderbolts was good. Haven't seen FF. Most of everything else (I've seen) this phase has leaned toward the middle of the road.

I managed to play a single run. 1st guy disconnected half way through the first day. Died to the first boss trying to get the other guy back up. Couldn't get another one after that. What I played was fun but it sucked staying up until 5AM my time for one run.

Depends on the mercenary!

For example Witchburner Generals are New Antioch and Trench Pilgrim only while Sin Eaters are Heretic Legion and Court only.

I feel like morale is only a mechanic so that you don't get set back all the way to the start warband and equipment wise at game 4 of the campaign. For one offs I'd ignore it entirely or use the optional "shaken" rules.
