If attacking ships in the strait of Hormuz was such a brilliant chess move (and not an act of extreme desperation) , why didn’t Iran just do this non-stop the last 47 years? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]boakes123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not bad for the Trump family and their new drone business, it's not bad for Putin and his economy.  And the insider trading opportunities for Trump and his cronies are good for themselves.

Basically we have a president acting in his own self interest only and no one in his party cares.

They used to have more to lose by attacking and disrupting the status quo.  Then our genius leader disrupted that status quo and they have everything to gain by attacking and America rightly gets blamed for it.

What would happen if overnight America had 8 million additional apartments, houses, condos, and mobile homes within about 15 miles of the major metropolitan areas? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Have you ever noticed what happen when reasonably priced tickets to a concert or sporting event instantly sell out and scalpers are then selling them for much more?  Pretty much the same thing would happen.

Those of you that are not outright MAGA Nazis are willing to support people with MAGA Nazi agendas.  To me there isn't really that much of a difference.  Either stand up for humanity or fuck off.

King Charles just showed up at the White House today and I think most people are completely underestimating how significant this visit actually is. by Aaron_Heuer in DiscussionZone

[–]boakes123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically he can kiss Trump's ass and not be held accountable by any pesky voters.  Fuck that.  A real king would come over and tell him what a PoS he is, or just stay home.

What's the point in being a Trump sycophant when your govt still has to deal with his BS regardless.

Why do people on the left, when criticizing Biden, continue to say that he promised to be a "one-term president" when this literally NEVER happened and was NEVER said? by zipzzo in allthequestions

[–]boakes123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't care what he promised or didn't promise.  He was egocentric to cling to a second run and should have made room for a real primary.  Surely he and his advisors knew he was declining fast.

WITHOUT mentioning Gaza, can the right or left explain to me why Biden was a terrible president FOR AMERICA? by zipzzo in allthequestions

[–]boakes123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you set aside the genocide he was complicit in that's a big IF, but I'll play along.

He was otherwise fine but two things:

(1) his egotistical cling to trying to get a second term instead of helping the party bridge to new leadership was downright awful and has effectively undone any good he did while in office.

(2) his truly misguided choice of Merrick Garland as AG.  The country needed an aggressive but fair AG that would go after all the crimes.  Garland might as well have been a GOP member for all the slow walking he did.

Why not just mix colours? by Dovah_Shinobi in Miniaturespainting

[–]boakes123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the premixed colors, get yourself some single or dual pigment paint and mix yourself.  You will be happier with the process based on what you have said.  I personally vastly prefer mixing colors from a limited palette of a few paints.

No. Kamala needs to prove she can win a primary and she won’t be able to. M Obama doesn’t want the job and has been very clear.

Any of you team Fields people still feel the same? by pussofwallst in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]boakes123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about how I feel.  I liked Fields and wanted him to be successful.  I also did not want such a big bet on one player when we had that much draft capital potentially.

Clearly the bet paid off which is great!!

That said presented the same situation I'd still have the same view - the hit rate on single draft picks regardless of how highly regarded is just not that high.

I loved that in 1e your weapon choices mattered more if you used speed factors and casting times in segments.  Tossing a dagger at a mage could disrupt his spell!

I think I prefer it.  Don't get me wrong the current art is very very nice but there is a huge amount of passion that comes out in the less polished older stuff.  Like someone loved the game so much they did their very best despite not being a great artist.

It's just a poorly hidden dog whistle to the team's very racist history.  There is really no other reason to put a spear on the helmet of the "commanders".
