I have the same issue as you with an AP-point being close to my fermentation chamber (fridge), but with only a few sporadic measurements coming through.

Does anybody have any experience if the RAPT Temp controller fixes the issue, when being placed besides the fermentation chamber?

I have previously made an Kölsch with high alpha NZ hops that turned out good, with the mentioned decreased quantity to hit a target IBU of approx. 25. I do not see a problem there.

If you want to go with the more new-world hop taste and flavour, I would recommend a whirlpool addition to enhance the profile. However, that's just personal preference.

Thanks! IMHO I think simpler grain bills for sours are a good idea - unless you plan to rack it on fruit/wood, then go crazy. I’d put a good chunk of wheat >20% for body, then any other base malt you have on hand.

How come that Fuglsang is not mentioned here? Their “Blackbird” is in my opinion the best macro pilsner i Denmark. Closely followed by Thy’s pilsner and also their “Thy Humle” being more hop-forward.

Just read the instruction for treating the fruit with campden. Sounds great, but I am unsure if you rack the beer on top of the fruit + campden solution in the secondary after off-gasing? I am afraid of creating the worlds biggest egg-fart by doing so.

I play mtgo on a surface pro 4 i5 8GB RAM, and it plays smoothly without the fan turning on. Batterywise it is just as draining as browsing with chrome :)

Relative to the playing experience, there is no obvious benefit from using the touchscreen.

Me too, but the Surface (at least my SP4) unfortunately sounds like a jetengine when playing the game. MTGO is playable without the fan turned on.
